Hello everybody I would like to thank everybody who has been in so far for their custom and those of you who like us, I'm glad we could be of service. I'd like to thank everybody for their comments as feedback is very important to us. We are also not niave enough to believe that we are for everybody. If everybody liked the same bars or if all bars were the same, going out would be dull. We have come to Lordship Lane to provide atmosphere and service different to what is already here. On the subject of cocktails, we take our drinks very seriously. All of our bartenders are trained for weeks before they are allowed to make drinks behind our bars. For the comments about "watery" drinks, these are opinions which I respect. However, cocktails are not supposed to taste strong. They are supposed to taste nice. All of our cocktails have a good amount of alcohol in them. However some are short and some are long so each one will taste a different strength. If you like tasting your alcohol, I would recommend having a short drink where the mixers are less. If you speak to any of our staff, they will happily recommend something that they think you will like. We have developed a menu that I fully believe has 5-10 drinks for everybody. As people have different tastes however, these drinks will vary from person to person. If you are ever unhappy with your drink, speak to the manager and we will try to find a way of making you happy. As for our champagne cocktails, this is a style of drink. The small print at the bottom of the page is a myth. Prosecco is listed as an ingredient of every drink. We don't try to hide the fact we use prosecco. As someone stated, good proseccos are better than cheap champagnes and that is the very reason we use it. Most cocktail bars that use champagne for their cocktails either use a poor champagne and charge ?7-8 or a decent champagne and charge anything from ?9-?15. We buy all of our stock from an independant Italian wholesaler who refuse to sell bad wine/prosecco as a principal. The proseccco we use is highly recommended by them and is their best selling sparkling bottle. We wouldn't use it otherwise, especially in the Porn Star martini where it is served on the side so you can tase it on it's own. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many great people in the bar so far. I am yet to speak to anyone who have admitted being a poster but I respect the anonymity. I would however be pleased to meet any of you in the bar and explain to you why we do things a certain way. Feel free to come by any time. Hi everyone Thanks for your interest in our new bar. We have almost finished the extension now and are starting the internal structure. We are still aiming to be open at the end of August and I will give out more details nearer the time. Just to answer your questions, firstly, our music is played and chosen by us. We don't have play lists, every day is different. I couldn't list every band on the website but we play a mixture of rock, indie, disco, dance and soul. The thing we concentrate on is making sure everybody has a good time. Our staff are very good at this. They are all full time professional bartenders. Secondly, we don't have a bar in Bath (yet). Our website is going to be updated with a new East Dulwich page this weekend so you should be able to find it through Google then. Thanks Liquorish. It's nice to be here! I assure everybody that our bartenders know every drink 100%. They aren't allowed to make drinks until they do. Their basic training takes 6-8 weeks and they constantly look to learn more drinks in their own time. I and my business partners have worked in cocktail bars for a combined total of 10 years, before we started Adventure Bars nearly 4 years ago. This means we have very high standards so you will get a high quality drink every time. Our mojitos are very good too. I look forward to proving it when we open! As for our opening, we have decided to start the full refurbishment now so we won't be open any time soon. I will keep anyone updated who is interested in the project. Alternatively, I will be there most of the time during the weeks and will be glad to take time out to say hello. Toby

Hi Everyone Just to answer a few of your questions: *We will be bringing our own staff *The walls are being painted (sorry) *There is no curry or any other food for that matter (trust me, you don't want to try my cooking) *There is however 2 for 1's. We do a daily happy hour which is 2 for 1 (5-8pm) on all of our cocktails and Peroni Rossa bottled beer *We are aiming to open on Thursday We will be a bit different to the other bars in the area so I hope you come in to give us a try. Hi guys I am the owner/manager of the bar taking over Inside 72. My name's Toby and will be working alongside my colleague Tom. As you already seem to have heard of us, let me introduce us to you properly. Our bars are called Adventure Bar & Lounge. We strive to ensure everybody who visits enjoys themselves in unpretentious comfortable surroundings with good quality music playing in the background. Cocktails are our speciality. We have 60 cocktails in our menu and our bartenders can make another 20-50 if needed. The bartenders are knowledgable, professional and extremely friendly. We will go to great lengths to ensure you enjoy yourselves. We play a whole variety of music covering Soul, Motown, Disco, Dance, Indie and Rock spanning 5 decades.
