There is finally some building movement in the old Brick House site. But it's of a slightly alarming nature. Over the past week they have ripped off the existing roof and erected much a larger steel frame. This is completely blocking our view of greenery and gardens. And is a bit odd as a commercial structure that is now going to tower over the residential back gardens of properties in Zenoria Street, Oxonian Street and East Dulwich Grove. I've looked at length this morning on the Southwark planning portal, but the only planning applications I can find on this site are for the change from A1 to A3, and for the extension to opening hours. There doesn't appear to be an application for this building work, which surely must require it. Does anyone have experience here? Or able to advise on what we should / could do about it. I'm not against Gail's moving in per se, but this is worrying - and at the absolute mininum we should be able to see what the plans are for I think.

Fede has been cutting my hair, and my son's for the last 8 years. He's great! There is something nice about having your hair cut at home even in normal circumstances...

I wonder if there's the possibility of a new strand of Covid Classifieds. With suggested instructions for handovers / safe distances during exchange. We are new at working from home AND home schooling and find ourselves missing equipment that I can't really afford right now... the EDF would have previously been the 1st place I'd have tried to find things. Maybe there's a safe way to do it?

I wanted to add another to the long list of thank you's to James... I've always felt represented by a councillor that had a very protective view of East Dulwich and its residents. The long-term view that you and Rosie have held in terms of planning and protection of our high street particularly resonated with me as I live on it. You've always had a highly visible presence, both online and on the street. Hope that you enjoy a lovely calm summer! Thank you for everything you've done for us. Norma

Hi Liz, Can I check if this info is still current as the link to your website didn't seem to work? Thanks Norma

Dulwich and Sydenham Hill Golf Club

ssssssssshhhh! Beckenham is very busy! Don't want more people playing there! Just kidding, it's a lovely course, about 10 times more interesting than Dulwich, and although it gets a battering from new golfers during the summer and suffers from Lewisham Councils budget constraints it's also one of the most beautiful courses in South London. The views of the park and the crumbling mansion from all around the course are stunning and there are only a couple of holes where you can hear any road noise! Can you tell that I like it there? P.S. I hear on the grapevine that Addington Palace have quietly dropped their joining fee recently as well... -
Vespa Kickstart thieves on the loose

They jimmied into the seat of mine a couple of months ago and stole the battery! What's that all about? B******s! -
Having had my moped stolen a couple of weeks ago from Zenoria Street (I believe 2 more were taken on the same night) I was wondering if anyone would know where to start with requesting a motorcycle stand / bay to lock bikes to (the same as the one outside the Palmerston). There are 4/5 bikes parked in Zenoria street regularly and I'm sure that we would all use it. Once they have had one successful nights thievery they will be back!

Caffe Nero - The decision is in!

Immediate neighbours are indeed please. The issue with the air-conditioning units has been going on for 18 months for us. And assuming that they do actually remove them we will be delighted! Thanks to the 3 local councillors who have been supportive over the entire issue from the start!
