As far as I know you have to use smokeless fuels - can be bought in several places, I get mine from the mini supermarket on Barry Road. Its a source of amusement when I see the expensive shops on LL selling overpriced logs....... As for folk to come and clean, I have used S. Pearce for the last few years (though it has been the other half who has been in to watch him work). Try him on 0208 699 3713 or 2028857 6511. always clean and tidy, no complaints.

don't know if this will assist - but being a Scot (from mozzie teratory) I have found one of the best insect repellants is actually Avon's 'skin so soft' moisturisers. This was recomended and has been tested by lots of people who spend lots of time in the scotish wilderness. Might be worth a go in the environs of Peckham Rye......

Does anyone have a decent grasp of car insurance rules?? Pretty much every morning as I struggle to work past the parked vans/lorries (involving walking in the middle of the road) and the blatantly over worked post men (standing round in a pile of red elastic bands with one hand in pocket and the other operating a fag) there is the odd postman filling what is obvisously a privately owned car with post and parcels. Can I therefore assume that any recent rises in stamp prices etc are required to pay for the 'business' insurance for these cars? Or if one of these were to crash and wreck whatever post it was carrying - that post/parcels would not be insured? Yours interested skwirt

I totally agree with Eileen - why should the vast majority of responsible (and poop scoopping) dog owners have their dogs punished as a result of the selfish behaviour of a few people! It is ridiculous to inflict a punishment for what mighthappen. It is another foolish knee jerk reaction law brought in by people who are too weak to confront the real issues in the community and end up alienating the wrong people. hmmm not impressed (6) skwirt
