  1. We're looking for a similar empty space to take over in the Christmas run up. Holler if you hear of anything!
  2. I'm on Mr Poole side as well. As if these kids would go to university even if they could afford it. Absolutely and utterly irrelevant.

    Trouble in peckham?

Just cycled through Camberwell and Peckham from town and didn't see much going on. Spoke to a copper who said the police keep getting called to false alarms and that nothing is going on presently.
  4. I'll be looking at a glut of runner beans come summer so would happily exchange for some beetroot! Nice idea!
  5. Hi does anyone have any idea which roads have been affected and roughly how many trees? Please PM with responses.
  6. See http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,328940,page=1
  7. Last night, our friend's bright orange S50 Vespa scooter was pinched from outside their flat on Barry Road (Plough end). They've asked me to post a note on the forum to see if anyone saw or heard anything suspicious during the night, or has seen anyone dodgy riding on a model matching this description. The license plate is LK59**T. Many thanks.
  8. Yep, it woke me up and hovered above my flat for about an hour. The blighter kept luring me into a false sense of security by going away for a bit, only to return about 30 seconds later.
  9. Rather apt: http://www.facebook.com/#!/video/video.php?v=1522185329140&ref=mf
  10. If cats are allowed to shit, bury it and get away with it then humans should be allowed to slaughter said cat, bury it and get away with it.
  11. I used to live on Silvester Road and a pair matching that description used to drive me MENTAL every single night. I ended up getting a super soaker, a cat alarm and some lions dung pellets. Nothing worked. Barry Road is quite busy so one can only hope they get run over at some point.
  12. I tell thee, it's all about the Morrisons!

    Vuvuzela time....

Whilst on the subject, this is funny...

  15. No joke, this is truly amazing... http://anorakblog.wordpress.com/2010/06/11/dulwich-ukulele-club-goes-football/
  16. A while back a filthy swine stole the grill from my Golf's front bumper. I replaced it last week. Then yesterday, on North Cross Rd, an equally filthy swine stole my wing mirror. Did anyone see anyone doing this? Is car bit car crime something anyone else has had any experience of round these parts? It's very frustrating.
  17. Speaking of obnoxious shop keepers, what about that miserable old git who runs the stationers on lordship lane. He's truly incredulous.
  18. I agree with James. East Dulwich desperately needs somewhere with some genuine soul and more of an interesting/alternative/intimate vibe to it. Inside 72 was great in terms of music, informal relaxed atmosphere and rough around the edges appeal but the layout was too constrictive when the place got busy. I'd like to see somewhere that's good to go out in the evening and plays decent music (i'm into indie, electro and rock so this would suit me fine!) E.D is a great place to relax in the daytime and weeknights but myself and a lot of people I know in the area have to leave for east London for a decent night out. Fridays and Saturdays in most of the boozers around here are like meat markets and way too chavvy (bishop, edt etc). Either that, or very formal and perhaps too civilized and uninviting for some (green & blue, black cherry etc) Jaguar Shoes on Kingsland Road and The Red Lion off Hoxton Square are a couple of places worth checking out for ideas.
  19. Since it's another bland chain of clapham-esque cocktail bars that we've all seen a million times before, I think people are quite justified in predicting its shite-ness.
  20. The drum's for sale. someone buy that and stick a decent juke box in then we're away.
