  1. We sold ours at the beginning of the year. The range of estimates we received from agents was interesting - 100k difference between lowest and highest. We knew honestly what it was worth and opted for the middle and listed it with Purplebricks. We then found the local agents were "suddenly" willing to negotiate their fees as well as telling us that it would never sell as PB didn't have the portfolio of people wanting to view property in the area.....it sold within a couple of months. Maybe it's worth the fixed fee placing it with PB for two reasons; 1. it might give your local agent a kick up the butt knowing they will potentially miss out on the commission 2. if it does sell via PB, you save yourself several thousand pounds.
  2. I find some humans more annoying than foxes, at least all they're doing is what nature intended....
  3. Personally I find ignorant people walking along looking at their mobile devices and expecting everyone to move out of their way more annoying than a 6 year old enjoying life cycling on a pavement.....
  4. "I'd love to know how a ticket price costing 3 times more can be justified for offering more or less the same service (that's an extraordinary discrepancy when you think about it- what other industries that offer essentially the same service get away with that?" Erm, it's easy there are fewer screens and less seats.....
  5. You could argue it is a moot point as the market increased the index a couple of hundred points in week building up to the referendum therefore both gains and loses were made.
  6. rendelharris when compared to a week ago....... Opening and close figures from 14 June... 7. I lost my bike of 17 years a few weeks ago.... Try http://bikeshd.co.uk/ or www.findthatbike.co.uk you may get lucky! Good luck
  8. Dreadful, it is every persons nightmare to live next to a troublesome neighbour of any age. As stated above, the best thing to do for your own sanity is to move to a new location which I know does not sound fair.
  9. Announcement was made at the end of 2012 that cinema plans had been given the green light for West Norwood as per the this link. http://lambethnews.wordpress.com/2012/10/23/new-cinema-propsals-for-west-norwood-get-thumbs-up-from-councillors/ I don't think a cinema would be viable in ED due to lack of viable space however a cinema in WN will be a welcome addition :)
