  1. Morrison?s was fine this morning at 11am. Only hand sanitiser shelf empty. These hoarders obviously don?t get up early!
  2. Had same problem. Seems most people?s council account number doesn?t work & have to scan the document. I submitted the document & had not received any verification by the next day but tried again & it all worked & permit purchased.

  4. This is the info for visitors permits. Paper or online available. I?m guessing it will be the same for new COZs. There will also be a few pays that are residents permits/visitors pay be phone but not many of these so wouldn't rely on them for visitors https://www.southwark.gov.uk/parking/parking-permits/on-street-permits/visitor-s-parking-permits
  5. The pair were by the pond yesterday, hopefully more goslings soon. Also spotted the heron in it's usual position at edge of pond.
  6. They've been in Peckham Rye Park for a couple of years, usually spotted by the pond.
  7. It?s a pity the cafe isn?t more elderly friendly. I?d love to take my mum for a stroll round the park followed by a coffee & cake but not at that cafe. Mum may be 90 & need some help but she still values her independence & being able to pay for a coffee & cake is part of that. I?m sorry if it takes her a bit longer & you?re in the queue behind her but hopefully you?ll all reach that age & may appreciate a bit of tolerance & kindness.
  8. The old library on Grove Vale is being worked on.
  9. Please pm if you know Rohan Boutall. Found something belonging to him Ondine Road

From reading the Southwark website it seems the refuse cabs should have details of all the brown bin subscribers & so will only stop & collect at those properties. This means that brown bag collections must be booked to be added to that weeks route. I?m guessing this is why food waste has to go in the small bin now. As often happens now these will be gathered up by a walking collection in advance of the refuse lorry.

  12. The only blue arrow is on the bollard at the pedestrian crossing before the lights by Tesco. It?s to stop you going into the left hand lane at the pedestrian crossing which is a bus lane. Could this be what the fine is for?

Well they must be making millions in fines then. I drove over that junction today, & do at least once a week, plenty of cars turning left. No blue signs, no no left turn signs & big white arrow on inside lane pointing ahead & left.
  14. That doesn't make sense. The only banned left turn is travelling south on Peckham Rye, you can't turn left towards Nunhead. And that's a red no left turn sign & road markings.

  16. There used to be a small putting green to the right of the path that leads to the main park entrance from Barry Road .
  17. Too late. I think the libraries are out of bags & no idea if they will be resupplied. Wouldn't surprise me if we have to order them online!! Seems a collection will also have to be booked!

Where are car owners of Ondine Road & East Dulwich Road expected to park when their roads are filled with cars from Lordship Lane shoppers?

Thanks for the update Eileen. Do you know the reason for taking Ondine Road & East Dulwich Road out of Peckham West Area? Does that mean they will in no CPZ surrounded by the proposed Peckham West & East Dulwich CPZs, that really would not work!

In the FAQ it clearly says that from 1st June food & garden waste must be separated. Food waste goes in the brown caddy. If you don?t already have one they can be ordered & a kitchen caddy will also be supplied. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/garden-waste-collection-subscriptions?chapter=2

I think you?ll find East Dulwich is one of the few zone 2 stations that doesn?t have parking restrictions on surrounding streets. I know that was the case a few years ago wen I worked at London Bridge & several coworkers drove to E Dulwich so they could have a cheaper season ticket.

Unfortunately Celia Hammond can?t take duvets as they can?t wash them. They take sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, tea towels blankets etc.
  25. Depends on the cat. Only get a cat if you really love cats. Never expect a cat to behave in a certain way, it?s a cat, it will do the opposite of what you want.
