  1. SW, you're welcome to borrow our slow cooker for a couple of months. Will pm you with details later.
  2. My little one also hated car journeys and I tried all sorts to stop her crying. She also seemed to hate being restrained and the only thing that helped a tiny bit was trying to get her to have fun in the car seat. I bought the Baby Einstein travelling melodies cd and would pop her in the car seat at home (not strapped in), put the cd on nice and loud and just spend a few minutes playing with some toys or just making her laugh. It seemed to help a little when the crying started in the car as I would then pop the cd on and she tended to settle (after a shorter scream than usual). Having said that, I do think there was also an element of just 'growing out of it'. Good luck... I know how painful it can be! p.s. the car radio didn't work for us either, but for some reason the cd had better results
  3. Thursday 8th March at Mag is good for me. :)-D
  4. Ooh yes please! Have not made previous ones due to random bedtime for little one, but now fairly consistent so can escape by 7:30pm.
  5. Thanks for that! Good to know it's ok to wean as usual and just keep an eye on her. Will have a chat with the Coeliac society. Thanks.
  6. I'm waiting on a doctor's appointment to discuss this as my MIL has coeliac disease. Just wondering whether anyone has been advised to delay introducing gluten when weaning. My understanding is that from 6 months it is ok to wean as usual. Also has anyone had their baby tested for coeliac disease purely due to family history? Thanks.
  7. We had a similar experience at 4 months and ended up hosting a seminar run by Nicola - childsleepsolutions on this forum. Whilst I think we were in fact experiencing a Wonder Week, it was really helpful to have advice on routines and dealing with the night wakings. Hope it improves for you soon!
  8. Totally agree. Merry Christmas! xx
  9. Is there somewhere to park nearby? Will try to get there this afternoon. Catgirl, will pm you.
  10. We'll have to miss too as have lost my voice. Tried to croak Sweet Child of Mine this morning, but was not a pleasant sound! See you next week.
  11. Drop in baby massage class above Soupdragon on a Friday at 11:30 am is a nice relaxed class.
  12. Fab stuff! So nice to look forward to Monday mornings for a change. :)
  13. Totally agree. I was shattered this morning, but felt so much better after that session. Can't wait for next one!
  14. Happy to try to help. Have pm'd you.
  15. My little one didn't seem to like the newborn insert, but I don't think I was very good at getting her into it. I love the Moby wrap, but did take a while to get the hang of newborn cradle position. Emily at the South London Sling Library is lovely and can advise on all the different slings out there. You can also hire slings from her for ?5 (plus refundable deposit).
  16. Hi ladies. If anyone is interested in the sleep seminar recently posted by Child Sleep Solutions in the classified section, let me know. There are a few of us thinking of doing the seminar which covers different sleep techniques and there is space for a couple more peeps. If you'd like to join us, pm me. xx
  17. I grew up in Hong Kong. I left when I was 18 so not lived there since having a baby, but my folks are still there so I fly back every other year. Happy to have a chat. xx
  18. Hiya. I can't do Thursday afternoon, but hopefully catch up with you at another meet. If there ends up being four or more of you going, you might need to change location as I went in this week and was told there wasn't space for two of us as there were already two buggies there. xx
  19. Thanks! Will head to soupdragon this afternoon.
  20. Are there any local ED shops that sell baby leg warmers...or in fact, any London shops? Or are they t'internet only items? Thanks.
  21. Hi Gina. In case you're heading for PR park today (17th), the picnic was for last week. Not sure of any meet ups planned for this week. xx
  22. It's just in front of the Sexby Garden. Shown on the PR map as the picnic area... http://www.southwark.gov.uk/downloads/download/2286/park_trail_maps
  23. Hi ladies. A couple of us are meeting up on Wednesday for an afternoon tea picnic in Peckham Rye park (weather permitting). If anyone else fancies joining us, it'll be from 3pm in the dog free area. Pimms o'clock? xx
