ITV are looking for a family we can help book a holiday for
emc replied to emc's topic in The Family Room Discussion
As an added incentive we can offer ?300 towards your holiday! -
Hello - ITV Good Morning Britain are looking for a family of four or more who are leaving it until the last minute to book their holiday. It should be a big holiday - at least a week and preferably abroad. We will have an expert on hand to find you the best deal he/she can within your limitations - places you don't want to go, budget, countries you like. You will be under no pressure to go for our choice and spend your own money booking the holiday, but you should be genuinely looking and intending to book one soon. It will involve some filming this evening and then being live in the morning, either from home or on the sofa. We will pay a fee for your time, so your holiday will be an even better deal! Please PM me for more info.

Was the traffic normal this morning to Elephant?
emc replied to damzel's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi I need to drive up the Walworth Road towards E&C tomorrow (Thurs) at around 8.40am. It was horrific last week but I'm hoping that's because of the burst water main at Kennington rather than the works at E&C - did anyone go up Walworth Road this morning and can tell me what it was like? thanks so much -
Hi there Yes, I have - why?!

Hello, am hoping to put my daughter forward for a bursary place at a local private school and wanted to get her a tutor once a week when she starts year 5 in Sept. She's a clever girl, doesn't struggle in any subject but could probably do with some exam coaching and help with non-verbal reasoning type papers etc as she has no real experience of these. It would just be for once a week I'm guessing. Thanks in advance.

Thankyou so much!

Hello the drain pipe that leads from the guttering on my roof down the front of my house to a drain by my front door has come away (the brackets that held it in have eroded away and broken) How easy would it be to fix myself? - i.e. can I buy a new pipe from somewhere and put it up with the brackets etc or is it a specialist job? Any advice greatly appreciated. thanks

Hi there - ITV Good Morning Britain are looking for a mum who had a baby over the age of 30. They need to have had at least one round of NHS IVF. We want to film with them this afternoon or this evening and they have to be based in London or the surrounding counties. The story is about women delaying trying for a baby (for whatever reason) please PM for more info. thanks

On Good Morning Britain on Friday we're doing a piece on the 'NHS Minor Ailment Scheme' (where, in some parts of the UK, you can get things like liquid ibuprofen, plasters, hay fever remedies, etc for free). This is a scheme that's been around for a while but, through social media, it seems that it's only now that many people are becoming aware of it. Do you think it's fair that the scheme doesn't apply to everyone in the UK? And is it fair that those who might not need it are using it? i.e should only those who are on lower incomes or benefits be able to access these medicines? if you are happy to put forward your view on TV pls PM me. Thanks

Hello All Good Morning Britain is working on an investigation into body confidence and how people feel about their appearance. We will be looking into how people feel about the way they look and asking whether or not this impacts their lives. We want to talk to mums and daughters and fathers and sons to find out what families have to say on this issue. If you are free on Friday 10th April and you want to be involved, please send an email to [email protected] We can provide transport to the studio (which will be around the south bank or central London) and pay a fee of ?100 per family. We would interview parent and child separately then together and will probably need an hour of your time overall. Thanks

Hello - it's the Budget tomorrow and Good Morning Britain are looking to do some filming this afternoon/evening with three generations of the same family. Ideally I'm looking for a mum, grandma and great grandma (or a teen, mum and grandma) to film with. But I would also consider a mother and grandmother. We can pay a fee for this. If you think you can help pls PM me ASAP. Thanks

Hello all There's a report coming out tomorrow about 'patchwork' childcare - i.e. working mums who are forced to use 2/3 sources of childcare (usually to keep costs down so after school clubs/grandparents who tend to be cheaper than nannies/childminders) In relation to this I need to film live with a mum tomorrow morning as she starts her drops offs pre work and then follow her her on journey to work - so preferably you should have two or more children, one at nursery/one at school so you have more than one drop off before getting on bus/train to work etc. We could pay ?150 fee for this. For more info please PM me ASAP. Thanks

Hello all I've just been issued with a PCN for 'entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited' in Vauxhall Bridge Road/Rampayne Street. I don't exactly remember the incident but assume that I was 'pushed' forward into the box junction via the traffic lights, assuming the car ahead of me would get further than it did so I was stopped in it for a matter of seconds. i know this is a common offence (and one you can often do little about) so I know I don;t have much chance of winning but thought I'd for any advice. Many thanks.

Hi I'm looking to talk to parents of (secondary school) children who get stressed about having to fork out for school extras - school trips (e.g. ones abroad so pretty pricey), expensive after school clubs, uniform having to be bought from specific shops etc. It's for a report out tomorrow which says that schools should be providing some of these things for free (or partially free) Please PM for more info. thanks

TV call out - family frustrated with energy company
emc posted a topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi - TV call out again! I'm looking for someone (ideally a family) frustrated with their energy company to film with later today. It's for ITV's Good Morning Britain. Consumer charities say the standard of customer service provided by the Big Six energy suppliers is not good enough. Fee paid. PM me please or call me on 07958 583690 -

Hello - another TV call out - So, the average cost of raising a child in the UK from birth until the age of 21 has climbed to ?229,251. This is mostly down to childcare costs and the costs of sending your child to school (state schools) Here at ITV's Good Morning Britain we want to talk to three generations of the same family - Grandma, mum and child for example to see how the costs of raising a child compares between the generations. We would need to pre-record an interview with you all today/this evening and would be able to pay you a fee for this. If you can help please get in touch via PM or call me on 07958 583690. thanks v much.

Hi all Looking for people to film with for ITV Good Morning Britain (tomorrow's show) Energy companies have made it easier for people to claim refunds if they have switched accounts or moved addresses. We are looking for someone who is either fighting for a refund or faced a battle to get a large amount of money back from their energy firm. We may want to film with you today or for you to be live on tomorrow's programme - there will be a fee and we will arrange all transportation. Pls PM for more info

Hello ITV Good Morning Britain are doing a piece on co-sleeping tomorrow and I'm looking to film with a group of mums this afternoon to discuss this issue along with ITV's Dr Hilary. If you and a group of your mum friends are getting together this afternoon (5 or 6 mums would be great) and could cope with an hour's filming do let me know. Thankyou!

Exact same problem - mould in utility room (where tumble dryer/washing machine are) mould in back bedroom (where I dry clothes) and mould on bathroom tiles (have no window in bathroom but I have had an extractor fan fitted, hasn't done the trick though) My two questions are, do I get a proper big dehumidifier for the whole house or some of those small little box ones I've seen (for each room) And also, once I've done that, can I just paint over the mould (with a mould resistant/special paint) or should I try and remove mould first? thanks so much

Hello All I need to pre-film with a mum on the school run tomorrow morning (for an item that will go on the show on Thursday morning) for an item I'm doing on the perils of getting your kids to school on time in the morning. So, if you regularly have to contend with bad driving, double parking, aggressive behaviour I'd love to talk to you. It would mean we would need to follow your journey from home to school - so need to be with you about half an hour before you leave for school and then once the school run has finished to ask your reaction to it, is it typical etc? We would be able to pay you a ?150 appearance fee for this (you'd obviously need to be be someone who drives your children to school rather than bus/walk etc) Do private message me for more details
