  1. Miles - are you a nice looking man?
  2. Well, I'm the one who started the other thread (any nice single men in East D?) so I am obviously single, gorgeous....and nice too
  3. Well, I guess the answer to my post is No. What I mean is think there are probably lots of nice men in East D (well in fact I KNOW there are, unfortunately they are married to my friends) but none of them are single....what a shame as I am sooo lovely.....
  4. As a single mum am usually far too knackered to bash the Bishop..anyway.....all meant was that on a Sat night it seems to be full of young (well younger than me) boozed up boys all desperately on the pull (and they seem to travel 'in' to East D from all sorts of far flung s e London places, don't they know it's nappy valley?)...I do spy some very nice men in Cafe Nero without wedding rings, gorgeous wives, cute children in tow but much harder to strike up conversations when sober (though usually a much better idea)
  5. I am here! Just didn't notice until now that discussion had been moved to Lounge...no, have not found nice man I am looking for....meet loads and loads of men (in fact had a great date this week, v good looking, clever, just not sure if 'nice'), ...just thought some gorgeous man might read my message and get in touch (cheaper than internet dating!) Have just scanned few some of the posts that stayed on topic and have to disagree that yummy mummies don't go out - I am a mum (single mum, and very, very yummy) and I go out a fair bit - if you want to get chatted up relentlessly go to The Bishop on a Sat night..complete meat market as far as I am concerned - flattering (sometimes) but really, not going to meet many men there who want proper relationship....oh well, might just have to do a bit of internet dating...

  7. I know I'm probably going to bitterly regret starting this thread and am bracing myself - but sod it, it's a question I'd quite like to know the answer to.....
  8. Ta for all your replies! Most insightful....gosh
  9. Hello No, just women who live totally alone
  10. Hi Yes of course (latest stats show that there are now 7 million people living alone in UK and just as likely to be men as women) but the reason I am asking for a woman is because,in general, we tend to only feature women's stories in the mag (as it's a women's mag) However we're looking for a gay (male) couple because it seems that more gay men have entered into civil partnerships than gay women so is more reflective of what is going on.
  11. working on piece about the changing nature of households/families in UK and looking for people who fit these particular scenarios for interview/photo shoot....(it's a 'nice' monthly magazine, copy approval given) So, if you are: part of a (male) gay couple who have entered into a civil partnership are a couple whose grown up kids have moved back to the family home for financial reasons - can't afford rent, saving up for deposit on property etc (if you're the 'grown up' who has moved back home please get in touch too) you are a woman in your forties or fifties and you live alone You are a stay at home dad - you've given up your job/put your career on hold in order to stay home and look after the kids whilst your partner goes out to work Many thanks Emc
  12. Hello - just registered on this forum. I'm a single parent too - my daughter is 21 months old....have lots and lots of friends in the area, plus family but would be nice to be in touch with other single parents locally as I think there are certain things only another single parent can understand (the sheer exhaustion mostly!) Want to start dating again too....Guardian Soulmates isn't coming up with the goods...any decent men out there?
