OK, but is there such a thing as physical attraction growing the more you get to know someone and enjoy being around them?...some of my friends say yes, that when they first met their partner they didn't necessarily think 'phwoar' but the attraction grew..I'm not convinced myself.

I know there are other things that are probably more important - and can physical attraction grow or should it be there from the start?

You don't have to be on screen though! We can offer a location fee for this. thanks THANKS TO ALL THAT REPLIED -
Hi there I'm working on a piece for TV next week regarding the national shortage of midwives which can lead,in some cases, to some women not having the best experience during labour and after the birth of their child. I'm looking to talk to women who, for example, have waited a long time to be seen once entering hospital after going into labour, women left alone in the labour room with no midwife in sight and have suffered complications, ringing your bell for ages during the night for help with new baby/pain etc but no midwife coming (as happened to me) - just the stories that are usually associated with there simply sometimes not being enough staff to cover the amount of patients admitted. This is not to cast aspersions on the profession - as part of their annual conference next week midwives are calling for more funding from the NHS to train up more midwives as they cannot cope with the increase in birth rate and increase in women with complications during labour (for a variety of reasons) If you think you can help and are prepared to speak about your experiences pls PM me and I can give you a bit more info on what to expect. thanks

Hello all thanks so much for all the replies and advice - in the end I suddenly remembered that I'd been given a six month free coverplan thingie by Thames Water when I had a water meter installed recently, so called them and it was still valid to 20th of this month. So a guy came on Sunday, changed the spindle and washer (for good measure) in tap and is now working fine and all for free!...really appreciate all the advice though, wish I was a bit more technical. Cheers EMC

Would you? Have you? I'm working on a piece about child neglect and just wondered if any of you out there have ever been worried about a child you've seen at your child's school, in the supermarket, on the bus, out and about. Or perhaps a neighbour's child/children? It doesn't have to be as extreme as abuse, it could be that you worried that they just weren't being looked after as a child should - perhaps they seemed hungry, dirty/clothes unwashed, not getting enough sleep etc. Pls PM me if you;d like to know more - all stories would be told anonymously. Thanks

They have gone - for now. Cannot find anything rotting, smelly (ex husband's corpse not under floorboards Dulwich mum, unfortunately he is still alive and well) so have no idea what it was all about. Just so glad they're gone but dreading it happening again...

Hi all, well I sprayed fly killer then hoovered up bodies (cancelled pest control on advice of people on here and other friends who I phoned in hysterics) - must have been about 50 then they just stopped coming....there is no foul smell coming from anywhere though I accept they must have come from something rotting. Could it just be that maggots have hatched, flies born, I've killed them and now they're gone or could there be another lot of them coming soon?...
-
i think they are green bottle flies - all over my living room, as soon as I spray some dead, more come! Have called pest control company, going to cost over ?200 to come out tonight...anyone else with this problem??? Feel like I'm going to be sick.

Scoot Scooting a Mini Micro (beep beep!)
emc replied to GinaG3's topic in The Family Room Discussion
My daughter got hers on her second birthday but had already mastered the art through trying out other kids' ones and my neice, who is six months younger than my daughter, was scooting it at about 16 months (it did look a bit freaky as she was so little!)....it's definitely the best thing that I have ever bought my daughter as she never tires of it and it makes going out and about much quicker. -
any recommendations? thanks so much

Hello I'm looking to film in a workplace on Monday with a group of working mums talking about the worry of the increased costs of childcare during school hols - whether that be extra hours with childminder/nanny or paying for holiday clubs etc....I know husbands and partners shoulder the financial burden too but for the purposes of the piece would like to talk to mums.
