  1. If so a glossy women's magazine would like to hear from you to do an interview about when is the best time to have a baby (they will also be talking to women in their teens, twenties, thirties etc) You would need to also be available for a photo shoot in London next week. Pls PM for more info. thanks
  2. Which is the nicer resort - in terms of a relaxing, girly holiday? thanks
  3. Anyone out there willing to talk?! thanks again
  4. Hi there Just wondered if there was any mums out there having to take a day's holiday or day's unpaid leave on Thursday due to school strikes and would be willing to be interviewed about their feelings on this for a TV show? I'm having to take a day's leave (but actually support the teachers) but cannot appear on the show I work on! Pls PM for more info Thanks v much
  5. Hi I need to make a number '5' cake for my daughter's birthday - apparently there is somewhere around East D that hires such tins out? Any info gratefully received. thanks
  6. Hello again thanks for support from sillywoman (above) - I now have a lovely group of three breastfeeding mums who are meeting in a cafe/bar in Crystal Palace at 1pm today to discuss this item. To get a bit more balance I just wondered if any bottle feeding or mixed feeding mums who cared to join them (bringing along another friend)? New Mother perhaps? I don't think you came across as a troll - surely balance is what it is all about hence asking for another contributor. Many thanks for all the helpful PMs I've had on this. Much appreciated.
  7. Surely, there's an NCT group out there where everyone is doing a mixture?
  8. I think what I'm looking for is parents who would maybe talk to a union rep about why the strike is happening (I'm a parent and was a bit unclear) - they might sympathise a bit but also are worried about what they are going to do re childcare on that day etc (something I'm worried about)
  9. Hello Sorry, another request for parents to film with...the NUT are proposing a day of strikes on Thursday, June 30th in protest at changes to their pensions and I want to speak to a group of parents who are concerned about the impact the strike might have on them in terms of childcare/child/ren missing out on a day's education, etc. Please PM me for more info. thanks so much.
  10. Hi there - I work for a morning TV show and I'm looking to speak to a group of mums, some of whom are breastfeeding, some of whom are bottlefeeding (so maybe your NCT group if it there's a mixture of feeding methods?) to film with to talk about the sometimes confusing advice given out about breastfeeding. This is to go with National Breastfeeding week next week and with a survey about to be released which shows that while 75% of new mothers breastfed their babies from birth, only 23% of these women were still breastfeeding after 3 months. This is not about which method is best (I myself couldn't breastfeed so have my own views on it!) but about the mixed messages of how long it should be done for, the benefits of it etc. Just a bit of personal experience and some debate really. I would need about six ladies who have little babies at the moment, gather you in a cafe somewhere in East D and film with you for about an hour tops. Pls PM for more info. thanks v much
  11. That worked! thankyou, thankyou, thankyou!
  12. OK, right at the risk of sounding totally useless (I know, I am) have stuck the stick thing into the side of the laptop and now I presume I use the 'export' button thing that's on my web album to transport the photos from laptop to USB. I've managed this (i think) but how do you tell if I have transferred successfully - i.e. how do I 'see' what's been trasferred onto the USB? Nothing seems to come up on my laptop 'showing' the USB's contents - well, something does come up, options and stuff, but I don't know what they mean. God, am annoying myself here - I don't know why I find things like this so hard! Unfortunately none of my friends seem to be any better than me so can't help....any advice much appreciated, thanks.
  13. Hello again - OK, so went to Sainsbury's and bought a Sandisk 'Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive' - is this the right thing before I open the packaging? thanks v much

  17. Hey - I posted on this a little while ago now for myself (and was brave enough to put up a pic) and got some responses, some of which turned into dates...there are definitely some nice (single) men in ED, not right for me (or me for them) but they are out there...

  19. Hi I have a Sony Viao laptap (about four years old) and I have some photos on my desktop (they are mhtml files, emailed from a Mac) I want to put them onto a disc so I can take them to be printed out - have tried to put them on a CD and DVD but none seem to give me an option to 'copy' when I insert the discs into my laptop (it asks me if I want to 'burn' CDs and stuff, then nothing happens) Help - I don't know what to do - is it cos they are mhtml files?? Sorry, am total technophobe so any help greatly appreciated. Thanks
