  1. Peckham Pule: I usually go Friday afternoon and never had to queue up. The only time I ever had problems getting in is during school holidays. There is also the Rafts and Rascal session which you could try as it is almost the same as the jelly babies. I have been going with my daughter every week for a couple of month now and I really enjoy it although it is not necesarily that clean (just don't forget to bring some flip flops). If you have any questions just pm me.

  3. Thanks so much for all your sympathetic and insightful messages. It is such a shame that the owners seem to "mess" up these animals. I have read so many stories where children got badly bitten or even killed that I just went right into panic mode. Letting out any dog onto the streets without a handler is in my opinion utterly irresponsible and dangerous not only for people on the street but also for the dog itself. First mate: I am not sure about what kind of collar the dog was wearing , sorry. Thank you so much for giving me a better understanding of these dogs!
  4. My daughter and I were walking along Pytchley Road (SE21) to Sainsbury's this morning when a black Pit Bull Terrier came charging out of one of the estates. He chased after my daughter who was running ahead of me and thankfully my yelling made the dog stop and run off and nothing happened. A car stopped to block the dogs way so we could walk off but there appeared to be no owner around at all and to be honest I am still pretty shell shocked about what happened. I have informed the police and they will have a "look". Please make sure that you take care when waling along this road!!!!
  5. No, the collar was just blue (plastic) but the eyes were green. We live on Avondale Rise (off Bellenden Road). I could e-mail a picture. Hope this helps
  6. We just had a black cat with a blue plastic collar visiting, looking to come in the house. This has never happened so maybe the cat is lost.I took some pictures and i could e-mail them (too big to attach...sorry).
  7. thanks will take Moos' advice and have a sneaky look in a bookstore...
  8. Thank you so much for all your input! I totally agree with Pickle that one has to take Gina with a pinch of salt or any baby book for that matter as not baby (or mum) is the same. Personally, I feel reassured that everything is going ok when I can see it written by someone else (or hear it for that matter), but that might just be my insecurities speaking. My little baba is going ok in her new routine and only had her lunch time sleep (12-1:30) and just went down for her sleep. I also just liked knowing what is going to happen during the day. When can we go to the playground etc. but of course some babies/mummies are just happy without a routine and that is tootally up to them I am just a sort of person that panics when I can't make lists and plans (I know...having a baby probably wasn't the way to go to have a super organised life). Well, thanks to all of you!!! :)-D:)-D
  9. ok, that will still be quite a stretch for her but i assume that is where it is all going. the reason why i was a bit worried was that at nursery she only sleeps in the morning and when i pick her up she is absolutely knackered and can't keep her eyes open. i will just have to tell them to keep her up until after lunch. thanks so much! i am feeling much more reassured!!!
  10. Hi, I have given my Gina Ford and Babywhisperer book to a friend (as I thought we will be in our little routine for ever...silly me)and I have a questions as to when the little babsters are "suppose" to have only one nap and if that should be the am or pm one? My little one has just started not to sleep at lunch time (only at 9:30am for 1h) so today we have kept her up until 11am and she slept until 1pm and is still going strong. What does gina say? Thanks!!!
