I personally would spend more time in the North and the coast line. I didn't think that much of Saigon or Hanoi but each to one's own. There's a great little island off the coast called 'Whale Island' that would be worth visiting for a few days of R&R. Definitely Hue, Hoi An & Halong Bay but if you've got time then head to Siem Reap in Cambodia.

We went to Beirut for the day from Damascus (Jan this year) and had to pay for a visa to get back into Syria and it was very expensive.

I went with 'Imaginative Traveller' and had a great time. It's an amazing part of the world and the people are very friendly and open.

I've been on Intrepid and Imaginative Traveller tours on my own and had a great time on both. Normally there are a load of people travelling on their own, so you won't feel left out. If you want a holiday with a creative slant, then Frui.co.uk offer some good deals.

umm, just me then.

Has anyone had any dealings with this lot? I bought a mattress from them a year ago and it is already starting to sag - they were supposed to come to look at it today and failed to turn up. I have been sitting in all day for them and when I rang them, the guy was quite rude to me and wouldn't listen to a word I said. So much for customer service!
