I have just heard from a friend who passed the spot an hour later that the cat has been moved. Not sure who by. If it wasn't the owner, and they see this, it might be worth asking in the nursery whether they know anything about moving it - maybe they saw it when they put something in the bins?

This morning (19/12/17) at about 8am I found a dead ginger and white cat in the gutter on Forest Hill Road opposite the junction with St Aidan's Road. I moved it from the gutter to the side of the pavement so that it won't be squashed by a vehicle. It is on to a patch of bare soil beside the wheelie bins for the nursery that is there. It's quite obvious. I feel very sad and hope that the owner will see this post and be able to collect their cat to say good byes. Please share this / spread the word. The cat had a bloody injury to its face and had obviously been hit by a car, but other than that, it looked normal and the owner shouldn't be worried about turning up to a too grotesque scene.

A young budgie landed on the astro turf during a hockey tournament at James Allen's Girls' School last night (Wed 3/2/16). One of the PE staff has taken him/her home and is looking after it. If anyone has lost a budgie or knows someone who has, please contact the JAGS main reception (020 8693 1181) with contact details, or message me on here and I'll pass on details to the member of staff who is looking after it.
