Guinness 0.0 on tap at pub
Northeastview replied to hernehiller's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I was I Dublin last year and lots of bars had a tap to put what they termed a ‘mini cask’ of Guinness 0 through- so it came in a can, but was put through the tap to pour it. I haven’t seen the pub in ED with 0 on tap, but I wonder if this is also what they do -
Magazines are full of people collecting foliage from the countryside-which TBH is well tolerated because there is loads there. Failing to see the difference between that and a tiny scrap of woods shared by many in a built up area is the main problem I’d say.

I had wondered about this due to some studying I?ve been doing recently whereby I was reading about the severe risks to health from cooking on indoor fires around the world: https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/household-air-pollution-and-health I did ask my lecturer weather the same risks would apply to stoves in the UK and he thought it likely, though the exposure frequency etc would be different.

A man dressed as a cyclist (asking for money)
Northeastview replied to Capitals's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I remember a man around E&C who would say he was a doctor, needing to get to the hospital to performs surgery, but he has had his wallet stolen and so needed money for a taxi. Saw him so often, and he really made an effort with his clothes etc, but was clearly a bit dirty. We saw him buying a load of beer in the offy and stopped to ask him if he had made it to the hospital on time. Even at the time making fun of him seemed a bit off, when he said we must be mixed up (as he was a vet) we just agreed. Sad life. -
Staffing a shop with volunteers must be like hearding cats. I can?t even imagine how tough. Remember Wordsworth books in Camberwell? A fantastic shop, but taken advantage of by many locals. Staff were able to purchase books from the shop at cost, and everyone seemed to have covered the odd afternoon once here and there, and would still claim this discount for years and years.

I was just wondering why it?s called East Dulwich estate if it has never been part of East Dulwich. Calling the area Champion Hill makes no difference at all. Everyone I know living here calls it Camberwell on the north side of the lights at Dog Kennel Hill School, and East Dulwich on the south, probably because that is where the postcode changes from SE5 to SE22 (though maybe only on th right side of the road?). It?s just interesting to hear what the background is, and the thoughts of those outside looking in.

My sister is a speech and language therapist (NHS) and has to make individualised tools to help her patients. Today she really needs some photoshopped pictures or gifs of Daniel O?Donnel with quavers (the crisps). You know, dancing with them, sharing a joke with them, eating loads of them... I know it sounds weird, but if anyone has a talent for this and a few spare minutes any help is greatfully received
