I live in a flat conversion and we had also the water meters installed, last year. However, TW workers did not check properly which meter belongs to each flat and they connected us incorrectly. My meter was connected to 2 flats so my usage was unusually high and I had usage when I was away from home. We had to call TW to come out and amend the meters which was a pain to do. Maybe you need to check with TW if you are connected correctly and not to other properties. You can also see your usage online.

I have had this many times at Superdrugs on LL. I find it disorganised and many times I was yelled at 'we are closing in 5 min' when I entered after work on my way home. I don't mind being told that they are closing soon, but not the way they did it. I try to avoid it now and go to the store in Peckham which I find fab with bigger selection and prices correctly noted.

Hello, I have one unopened roll of the below wallpaper. I was going to use it for a project, but I picked another wallpaper as this one is not exactly 'it'. I paid exactly as listed for £10 (plus delivery charges) so would like £10-it is brand new and I can show my order email. https://www.wallpaper-it.com/product/cranes-ochre-wallpaper/108121-master/ I am based on Barry road, but can deliver locally. Kind regards Kat

I disagree Jazzer, 8 + min for any of the buses to arrive (only 1 out of 3), it fills up fairly quickly during the rush hour.

The bus service has been terrible. The gaps for 185, 176 or 40 are 8+min and once one of them arrive they are full too full to stop. Buses 12 & 197 via Barry Road have the similar time gaps or above issues. There is also something going on with the busses 36 & 436 as they come in large gaps or you have 5x no. 36 busses one after another. That happened the other day, I could not believe it. The most annoying thing is that after I finally managed to squeeze in on 185 towards Victoria, they take an 'even out the service break' in Camberwell. I finally thought that after the gas works close to the Oval station, the journey gets easier, but that was my wishful thinking. The transport for London is really becoming a very expensive joke.

Praque might be a good start. I have heard that Riga is very pretty, but I have never been.

The White Company instead? 😍 -
I like them, but also agree some of their prices are steeper so I am usually careful and I tend to point out eg which type of tomatoes I took. Once, I wanted to buy a jar of pesto, but it was over £8, I noticed it at the till only so I said.. no thank you. I love that they have the selection of Italian peppers which are usual for my homeland. They do not normally sell them in any of the supermarkets. But again, have to be careful as they hide their fresher products at the bottom and display wrinklier ones on top which is also fair enough taken into account that the shelf life is too short.

Sadly, the same happened to me in the Nunhead’s car wash about 3-4 years ago. I did notice it before I was about to leave so queried it. They did not want to take any responsibility; however, they had a CCTV so it was recorded and showed clearly when the paint came off. I can tell you there was lots of arguing. The main guy called the person who used the power wash and was suggesting they pay me £50 or something like that and it will be deducted from his wage. Then, he was blabbing away about paying taxes and pensions etc. because I queried if he has an insurance in place. I did not take the money as I felt it was unfair for the guy to pay it from his own pocket and left. When I had the car repainted (£300) I was told the paint should not really come off when power washed. (I have a second -hand car and I know it was in an accident, so I gathered the repainted job was done cheaply to sell the car) Now, when I visit a car -wash I ask to reduce the pressure or to stand farther away so the pressure is reduced. I also do think that all car washes should have an insurance to cover any damage to the cars. Good luck with it, I hope you will manage to get some sort of compensation from them.

Royal Mail Late Deliveries and the price we have to pay
kp4 replied to a topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I am still waiting for my theatre tickets worth £XXX for a show played last Saturday. I know the tickets were posted on Tuesday last week as per confirmation. I went to the collection office 2x, the first time I was too late as their hours are only from 8am to 10am Mon-Fri (my bad) so I had another go on Saturday (the day of the show) their opening hours; 8am to 12noon. They had no clue just saying there is a backlog. Went I asked how can I complain I was given the following phone number 034 57 740 740. The post office employee said please do call. It seems they are not heard that they are short staffed. I did dial the number, but the waiting time was over 40min so I had to hang up as I run out of time. Luckily, my confirmation email with the order number was enough for the theatre to let us in. I know with everything else going on, this is not the end of the world, but the service is truly terrible. -
Another superb service from Stephen and his team. I found his details here and we cannot be happier about our newly installed carpet in the hallway. Stephen advised us on what we needed and answered all our necessary questions. He also rectified a small issue straight away with no problem. His team is professional, skilled and very friendly. Overall, it was a pleasure to deal with The Dulwich Carpet Company.

Anyone else bought any ill tasting coca-cola at Sainsbury's DKH?
kp4 replied to Macet's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Check the expiry date as they don't last long and the taste changes if too old. -
Thanks and yes that is the one we went to. Mainly, we did enjoy it overall. :)

Hello, Would you recommend Paradise Wildlife Park or Woburn Safari or are there any other near London? I have never been and my family is visiting so I thought this would be fun for them. Thank you Kat

Hello lovely people of ED and surrounding areas, I have been following Sadia's youtube channel, Pick up limes, for a while and I absolutely love her healthy cooking / recipes. I really had no idea she is an Afghani raised in Canada. Yesterday, she posted the below video which is very touching and I personally found it emotional. Please, please if you have 20min spare watch her video which I am sure you will love as much as me. All the revenue will be donated to the non profit organisations in Afghanistan. (all are described in her video in the comment section) Please note, I do not know Sadia personally. I just wanted to help somehow, but I did not know how so watching her video and maybe donating might be it. Thank you for reading & happy watching Best wishes Kat

Hello Does anyone know if this is an 'orange' peel plaster technique? Or, how is it done? (by a roller, spray gun or any other tool? - I've found too many varieties online and it is very confusing for someone like me = no experience) I need to do some fixing and would love to match the texture to be the same. The texture is very soft, the photo is a close up. Thank you in advance. Kat
