  1. Any co-op signs around!?
  2. Sounds like he needs to spend some time in a vacuum chamber. That should make the whistling stop ;)
  3. Which number do they live at!?
  4. Well it's great if they are giving these out for free, as it costs around ?50pa if you go direct to SmartWater.
  5. Right, I'm trying to get hold of a SmartWater kit now. Apparently [email protected] is the person to contact. They have been giving them out in Camberwell now for some time I'm told.
  6. -- moved topic --
  7. The City (near Bank of England). 20 minutes to the London Wall underground car park by scooter. 15 minutes back in the evening :)
  8. If I was dressed and fully awake at the time, I'd have chased after them. I regret not doing it now, but then I probably wouldn't have been able to control my actions. The cost of car insurance in ED has prevented my purchasing a decent car for a while now. Now I know why. When I do, I'll be installing CCTV from my house!
  9. Last night I witnessed around 3-4 teenage 'hoodie-types' walking down Jennings Road at around around 10.30. One of the thugs 'jumped' on a Golf GTI (VR6?). One of the other guys on the phone was bragging about it to whoever he was talking about. Did anyone else witness this?
  10. I'm sure that can be sorted out. That, or turn it into a large restaurant.
  11. I don't really frequent that area of town. Anything around there noteworthy? I've only ever been through that area on the 37 bus!
  12. At ?530,000 FH, that would be a steal for Le Chardon!
  13. Peckham Rye has Thamslink trains (Trains to Victoria, Blackfriars, London Bridge). You're best living somewhere around The Gardens area, as you'll be equidistant from both ED and PR stations. It's 5mins on a bus to PR station from The Gardens and only 5min walk to Lordship Lane.
  14. I was there Sunday for the 50% staff-training deal and ordered the tomato soup and tuna steak. The service was very friendly and I was very pleased with this in general, especially as this was their first day. I was also very impressed with the bread and the soup. However, my tuna steak was very disappointing. Although the salad it came with was great, the steak was rubbery and overly oily (extra oil definitely not required for tuna!). I'm sure it was fresh, but it did taste as though it was cooked from frozen. I expect tuna steak to flake away at touch, but although cooked 'pink', it was very chewy. I'm hoping this was a one-off, as I was otherwise pleased with the rest of the meal. Oh, and the bread is great! We ran out of balsamic vinegar too fast though - more needed next time!!
  15. No, it is I do agree. I've noticed they've changed the lights fairly recently to include a green ahead only light (going south), rather than a standard green. So the next step to make it safer further would be to include an extra timing sequence for a right filter on the eastern traffic flow.
  16. Do readers on here not know their highway code!? Jusr wait in the box junction until it's clear to turn right. Agree a right filter would help though.
  17. Should we all be going to coffee shops with our own mugs now? There is far more plastic in a takeaway cup than there is in a plastic bag. And should we stop using bin bags and instead opt to throw our rubbish straight in the wheelie-bin?
  18. But who is going to stop all those cows from farting?
  19. I'm living just off a street there. It's perfect! Quiet and also close to Peckham Rye, which is great for the summer. Also close to the shops on East Dulwich Road, but a 5 minute walk to Lordship Lane.
  20. Also would love to see. Annoyingly I missed the show as I was out of the country, but looking to possibly purchase another place in ED.
  21. I have a Brazilian cleaner. She's hot!
  22. Stick with Peckham Rye. Far better transport links from there.
  23. The only time I've seen any trouble is on or outside busses, and in innermost Peckham towards Old Kent Road. Both of which I tend to avoid. What gets me are the people that sit in busses and openly listen to the similar sounding (crap rap, as I like to call it) distorted 'music' playing from their mobile phones for all to hear. I keep meaning to carry a set of cheap headphones to throw at those people. If they can afford the phone, surely they have some spare pocket money for headphones, no? One day I'll get beaten up for the looks I give them. It almost happened on a train, but I think he was more scared of me! A young child would have been able to flick that character to the floor with his little finger. How about a new campaign - Headphones for Hoodies (HfH) ??
