  1. Until reading this I didn't realise how obsessed the men of East Dulwich are with swimming on a thurs night. Is there something sacred and special about this night above the others that means our local chaps feel the urge to run to expanses of water? The one time a muslim friend tried to attend the womens only session she still couldn't as they only had male lifeguards on which I think is worse than having the sessions in the first place - if offered they should be staffed appropriately.
  2. Went to a leaving do there last month only to find it in the middle of a refurnishment (mildly confusing for me!). Glad its reopened as its a popular spot, and smoke free = even better!
  3. I'm normally bumbling round at midmorning/early afternoon as I do it on my days off - might be why I'm happy - least I'm not at work!
  4. I run in Dulwich Park and smile at people and often get smiles back - still bit new to running so quite often a hello is beyond me as I'm wondering how long it is before I can walk a bit again! I'm normally in a Space Girl t-shirt and bunches - say hi/smile if you see me!! :)
  5. would have liked to come along and say hi to all, but will be in Cornwall on my (feels like) long awaited wk away!
  6. Ah, went past there the other day and wondered what was happening - is funny as you can see the modern buildings behind the older frontage. BTW did you know Kevin McCloud use to live on Thompson Rd? When me and my boyf were having a rubbish time tryig to buy our flat last year we looked round a few other properties and one was his old house - the then owners hadn't had to do anything much to it unsurprisingly!
  7. ... the pic was added while I was writing the last post - am off to bed now but my eyesights not that bad!!!! x
  8. thats the girlie.... she says that "people see me in an "I'd like to spend a night with Lucinda" way" in the mirror. Mini castaway could be good - maybe spend 13 mins away from civilised ED instead of 13 wks!!!
  9. wasn't planning on watching it, but in the paper today turns out one of the contestents is ED-ish (my fave from the 'What are we thread'!!). Might be cos I've just been doing a night shift and so need my bed, but I thought that was quite exciting. Hello to all btw - been lurking since the w/e so thought I should register!! :))
