Are there any current scrabble clubs meeting in the area? Or anyone interested in getting together with other local passionate scrabblers? Searched on here but nothing re. scrabble since 2008 or so.

Another vote for Isabel Capitain - she is great - she and her partner have repaired and made some bespoke pieces for me and it’s always a beautiful job and great experience

Viet flavours - really enjoyed it. A generous bowl of beef pho, light & clean tasty broth, tender meat, fresh garnishes. Crispy rice paper spring rolls were also good, lots of filling, not greasy. Lovely family owned vibe, friendly service. On the pricier side as far as Vietnamese goes but this is Lordship Lane, rents are high, and it’s a very welcome addition amongst the burgers, coffee shops, pub food & pizza. -
I can’t say we felt the same sadly.. perhaps need to give it another chance

Advice on local primary schools please!

Our child is in their last term at Goose Green, and after 7 wonderful years we are very sad to be leaving such a wonderful school and it’s special community. Being 2 form entry, It’s one of the smaller schools in the area and it’s also very diverse with an amazing spirit. Brilliant Art and Music departments, staff and a new library. -

Has anyone tried the new indian on Maxted Road, where Ganapati take away used to be? It’s called Malabar Feast - menu looks good, not dissimilar to Ganapati. South Indian, Dosa etc. -
As in, 100% it is going to be thai food or thai food, and run by 100% thai?
-
Anyone have any further info on this? An authentic thai would be brilliant there.. fingers crossed

If it’s a decent Thai I don’t think it matters that Grove Vale is quiet at night. A good Thai or Vietnamese or other South East Asian is so needed so people will come and it’ll do really well on take aways… if it’s any cop and authentic. Fingers Crossed

They need to address the issue of ‘parking’ these bikes though. They are a huge hazard for anyone with any mobility issues. Yesterday I took my elderly visually impaired father for a walk. If I hadnt been with him, he would have tripped on 3 separate occasions due to Lime Bikes dumped right in the middle of pavements.
