I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder who runs a Group Setting in SE22 and in addition to space for parking there is a bus stop conveniently located just 2 minutes walk away which is served by the 63 and 363 bus routes two and from Peckham Rye station (6 stops away). The property is also conveniently located for the P12 stop on Brenchley Gardens. Honor Oak Park station is 15 minutes walking distance Peckham Rye Park is 5 minutes walk away. The entire property is given over to childminding and has the unique advantage of providing a home environment which has all the resources of a larger nursery including a range of play areas, nursery sized tables and chairs, separate cot room, 200ft garden and a 30 sqm purpose-built school room which has been equipped with toys, games and learning resources with all ages and abilities in mind. A vacancy has arisen for a childminding assistant for four days per week - Mon-Thu, 09.00-5.00 pm. The hourly rate will be determined by the experience and qualifications of the applicant but there is a paid lunchbreak and two week's paid holiday following successful completion of a three month probationary period. Applicants must have previous experience of working within an early years setting or as a nanny and ideally have an enhanced DBS. An NVQ Level qualification would be desirable but not essential and support can be given to any applicant who wishes to study for an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 qualification. My group setting is a small and friendly (9 children maximum) and you will be working alongside other nursery assistants and there won't be any paperwork as I cover that aspect of the operation as Manager.

The nursery is based in the SE22 area and is close to Peckham Rye Park. There is off-street parking and transport links are easily accessible. Our dedicated team can offer you childcare in a positive, caring and relaxed environment where learning is a joy and a discovery rather than a tick list of requirements. We encourage development through play, stories, games and music in a property which is entirely given over to childminding and which includes a separate cot room, 200ft garden and a log cabin equipped with toys, games and learning resources with all ages and abilities in mind. FEEE can be accommodated as part of your payments. We are also signed up to accept the government tax-free payments initiative. If you are interested in finding out more about the setting then a prospectus is available upon request.

place available at small private nursery in SE22
Cassel replied to Cassel's topic in Nanny & Childcare Services
I replied earlier today but maybe it didn't go through for some reason. I have a space but please be aware that we are only open Monday-Thursday. If that is still of interest then if you let me have your email address, I can send you an information pack and photos of the nursery. Kind regards Caroline -

Hi there I've just seen your post and was about to advertise a space at my lovely private nursery which I run out of my Garden flat in a Victorian property on Marmora Road, SE22. The property is protected by 7 ft security gates and a 6 ft wall surrounding the garden area. The nursery is run by experienced and highly qualified staff and between us we have the necessary skills and expertise to ensure that your child receives the best level of care possible. We also understand the importance of providing a safe, nurturing environment during those all important formative years. Working in partnership with parents is fundamental to ensuring continuity of care between the setting and the home environment. We also acknowledge the important role you play as your child?s first and most important educators and will work closely with you in order to support your child?s learning and development so that they can achieve the best possible outcomes during their time with us. There is space for parking and a bus stop is located just 2 minutes walk away which is served by the 63 and 363 bus routes direct to Peckham Rye station and Honor Oak Park Station is also within a short walking distance. If the above sounds of interest to you then I can send you an parent's information pack. References are also available upon request. Kind regards Caroline

I just have to tell you about this awesome photographer who recently did me proud with my passport photo - bit vein of me I know but figured I'm going to looking at 'that' photo for the next 10 years -I was delighted with the resulting image taken. I also had a chance to have a peek at his portfolio and it turns out he's very versatile individual, who sets himself very high standards and has a great work ethic in that no job is too small or too big. So if you want to put your project in the hands of a consummate professional who has bags of patience and is very flexible over timings, where you want your photos done etc. etc. then Martin Lea is his name and if you're interested then check out his website: http://www.martinlea.co.uk

Sweaty Betty - the final nail in the gentrification coffin?
Cassel replied to Louisa's topic in The Lounge
I agree with rahrahrah - I also like the diversity of this part of SE London and it is only a small outlet. Is this a good time to mention that there's a special competition on the Sweaty Betty East Dulwich Facebook page? Don't shoot the messenger I just thought anybody who is interested/likes their clothes might like to check it out. -

What's wrong with variety - I've lived in ED for 25 years and the small newsagent I buy my paper from (he also sells milk) is still there after all these years. It's not as though Sweaty Betty are opening a department store - it's a small outlet. I love their clothes and the price reflects the quality of their products which are more durable than buying something cheaper which doesn't wash well or keep its shape and I disagree they're bland. So I'll be shopping in there when my budget allows but I'll also go and buy a doner kebab if I fancy one. Just as I'll continue shopping in the Co-op as opposed to M&S - it's all down to choice. -
Hi Bonfire 2010 Thanks - will have a chat with mine to see if she can recommend anybody. Interesting call-sign by the way!

Hi VintageSally Thanks for taking the time to reply. Looking to get it done for the same reasons as your friend in that I look washed bare faced but half-decent once I've just some eye-liner on because it makes me look more awake and gives me more flattering eyes. How did your friend go about sourcing the 'really good place/person' because I haven't got a clue where to start. I'm not necessarily looking for a rcommendation - although one would be helpful. Cheers

Hi Bonfire 2010 - how did your friend go about sourcing a good permanent make-up practitoner?

Hi No, I don't have a negative attitude to taattoos, in fact I've got a really sweet little Gemini tat on my left shoulder. It's purely for cosmetic reasons e.g. getting older, eyelashes not as dense as they used to be so relying on eyeliner more and more these days. Seeking others' experiences purely from a point of view of: how did they find the proess, did they consider it worth the effort etc. Nothing more 'deep' than that.

Hi - has anyone out there ever had this done, either to their eye-brows on as eye-liner. Thinking about possibility and wanted some feedback on other people's experiences first (good or bad!). Thanks
