Hi Autumn babies' club - forgive me for gatecrashing, but I wondered whether any of you might be interested in taking part in an infant study I'm doing. |I'm a local mum (three children 14,13, 10) and mature student at Birkbeck studying child and adolescent psychotherapy and part of the course involves watching a baby develop over the course of a year. I can honestly say that I wish someone had done this with one of my kids, as the time just flies past and it's so easy to miss all the amazing changes. I'm a local mum who is also studying for an msc in child and adolescent psychotherapy at London University, and I am looking for someone who will be happy for me to come and watch their baby develop over the course of a year. We had a nanny share some years ago - like you, it took place at our house. What this meant in practical terms was that over the course of several years the other child ate - for free! - at our house. The other family were lovely people and their child was a delight, but it was a bit of a niggle for me and I would strongly recommend that you havde an early, upfront discussion about all these practical issues (we didn't) so that you can preempt any potential resentments...

....now I'm so old I never meet pregnant mums - and I desperately need one for an infant study I am undertaking at London University. Would anyone out there be interested in letting me come and observe their baby's development over the course of the first year? Ideally you would be around 30+ weeks pregnant now. I have been there three times myself, so know what it's like - and I would be as passionately interested in your baby as you will be!
