Surely the benefit of recycling clothes outweighs the environmental impact of a plastic bag?

I was woken up by a drone or helicopter flying over for ages with a high beam so maybe it was best not to answer?

I agree! This has to be the 6th or 7th time that the P13 (which I rely upon daily) is on diversion. And yes! They've given up even announcing it, or signposting it. The last three days, I've had to wait up to 30 minutes (in the rain with two young kids) for the bus. It's maddening. I am also at my wit's end!

This has now moved to another section of road. I despair!

But the buses are still mucked up! 🤯🤯🤯🤯

I was just thinking last night that I would LOVE to try and cook more Thai food at home. If anyone has a recipe for a good Pad Kee Mao/Pad See Ew, I would love to know! :) Also - re. fresh and light at Matoom, I think I was basing this off the samosas which were basically good quality chicken rapped in light pastry - deeeeeeeelish. I catch that bus non stop and it's definitely every 15 minutes or more, no matter what any timetable says! :)

Thank you - hopefully these roadworks don't stuff everything up... it's a pain when the bus only comes every 15 mins as if things are thrown off they are REALLY thrown off...

@Sue I'm not a huge fan of Pad Thai, but now I'm curious as to why you weren't as keen! I felt that their style was quite fresh and light though without masses of sauce so maybe that would be a factor? My other fave is pad kra prao so will try that next!

Does anyone. Know what will be the upshot of the next batch of roadworks?? Mainly will the P13 on diversion from Friern Road for the fifth time in so many months?? I?m praying not!

I had pad kee mao with chicken and it was brilliantly spicy with proper flat rice noodles which I haven?t found at Lux or Thai Corner Cafe. We had the samosas too which were full of good quality chicken. Husband had duck mee ped which wasn?t as spicy or saucy but looked nice to me! He said he would order it again. Egg fried rice was yummy too! Went a bit overboard ordering as wanted to check everything was delish.

I'm def not comparing - I don't like Chinese food. I just was grateful for the tip of Matoom as it was DEEEELISH!
