Hi Helen, Did you get a good look at the knife? Was it around a foot long? I ask because late last year a man attempted to mug me with a very large and intimidating knife which on closer inspection appeared to be a toy sword. He still tried to stab me with it but, being a toy and all, it didn't do much. PM me his description if you want, I'm curious to know if he's still active as I never heard from the police again after the initial fuss.
