Some people on here mis understood my message .No suprised at all ..Was not about him about you !!! Yes I do volunteering and support 5 charities .... By giving stuff you don t help him ...You support him to live outside and became ill ...THIS IS WHAT I SAID Everyone choose how to live their life .So let him live his life ... He is NOT the only homeless so why help him and don t help the other ? His shelter burned down I think for the candles and electric gas? who give that to him? My point is . By giving little stuff you don t help him in a permanent way .Have you seen what happened to him? Maybe my thread it is more clear now!! You people get too much in this poor guy life . let him live He chose to live his life alone without any help from ...so respect that instead to open a thread by talking about him ..Did he approved ? This is what more than one people ia trying to say on here Thank you and might An angel protect this guy

I think I understood what Alice meant . The guy in the wheelchair does not accept any help from the organisation ...Salvation Army? Is he a proud person ? want to be independent? I truly believe a person like him could have a warm place to stay .If he wanted . If he have people giving stuff he will NEVER accept help from Organisation still living outside in his condition are not safe and healthy ...I think if you all people want to help him .Stop to give things and talk to him or bring him to one of this organisation who can give a warm and safe place to stay . He is sick,alcoholic and disabled .he really needs someone to look after him . We have a lot of homeless that is why we support ,give money to charities and organisations .Do you ?

Sorry New wave I totally disagree with you . I bet you never been in Dulwich LC female changing room and not swimming 5/7 times per week like my self . At Dulwich the staff are useless . A big group of fast swimmers left .we Always had to walk instead to swim . In FHPools it never happened . And I never had any problem even after years .Service are excellent!!! Btw Im a big observer and they do watch .very well . I think you had bad experience (no idea how long and how many times you swim) So can t tell ...Dulwich is a 2 star may be lol

well Im not surprised at all . I used to be a member for 2 years . The management are bad . Pool s staff are even worst . I complained so many times .and also I spoke with the duty manager more than once . They just give you that fake smile . Nothing changed .Showers always broken . 80% of the lockers are broken .and the fire door who connect the lady changing room with the pool has been broken for years !!!! What a safe place to be !! Also you need to be a full member even if you are using only the pool!! Solution to this problem ? Change the leisure centre . Forest Hill Pools it is much much better !!!

yes totally agree with you tomskip. I do support 4 different charities every month from years now . I would like my money would really help people like him and not lazy young people who does want to work !!! I used to help people on the road but when they refused jobs and food I said f.... (sorry for my language) . They really don t need help !!! Here in London still easy to find job ( cleaner,kitchen porter,etc etc ) I did when first moved here . The guy in the wheelchair is in a totally different situation .but still I bet he can have a warm room/house to stay if he wants to ..Thank you anyway to all the good people who always try hard to help the less lucky .You are a star!!

I saw the guy in wheelchair when my friend gave me a lift home on the 26th at lunch. I saw his shelter burned . I felt so sad. I turned to look at my left and saw him near the bus stop.Why he refused helps from organizations? Why we preferred to leave outside and homeless?You can t help someone who does won't to be helped.

If I m not wrong his has one leg and a wheelchair ....Somebody ,someone helped him to build a Tend where the ex pub is ...and today I saw they made a door with a wood panel . I don t know him and his story so it is not a fact But I think might he refused the house /place to stay because like stated before in those kind of places they are almost all with mental illness .and drug/alcohol dealers. Sad to see this things happening still .he does not look like a dangerous or a person with mental illness problem .The tax we pay should helps people like him and not immigrate coming here for benefit only .. why don t we open a giving page to help him? or something like that ?

Why you did not complain inside at the cafe ? it was not better to talk with a member of the staff regarding the dog outside ? dogs (by law) needs to be walked with short lead . If you don t and dog can cause problem to other dogs or people you can report the owner . Regarding the dog s poo you can find everywhere in those days ,sadly . It is very frustrated when I m with a pushchair and no able to see the poo I step on it with the wheel !!!! Dogs are like children .You need to look after them At all the time !! .If you can t ..buy a toy teddy bear instead ;) Like other people from the Forum said ...You can t blame the people walking away with their dogs ....what they were suppose to do to this dog?

Hello Mellors , I have been to Crystal Palace , I dont like it because I dont do the flip turn .....and the wall is too high ...I swim in cold water as well so I don t mind lido . Swim for fitness in the night in Camberwell Green is lovely . Btw if you are free on next wed at 8 pm there is a relay swimming race in Tooting Bec and I ll be there swimming with Brockwell Swimmers club !! You are more than welcome to come and cheer us !!!! So excited ! On tmw I ll enjoy the lido around 2ish after work (Brockwell Lido ) I might ll see you there one day ?!?! :)

Hello Newwave ...I swam in Dulwich was hysterical ..considering I swim in a fast lane full of slow swimmers !! From 2 years I swim in Camberwell Green ...I love there .staff are amazing trying to keep a safe environment and doing their job properly not like in Dulwich . Last night I asked about the swim only membership and Only in Dulwich are doing it ....no Camberwell and they were quiet surprise about it because Both are under Everyone active ...anyway it s too hot now to swim indoor lol (tried last night) I swim at the Brockwell Lido ( have membership with them as well). Come and enjoy the lido Newwave :) I swan to lewisham glass mill for 2 years .deptford too . I like Greenwich as well ...empty during the weekend lunch . 3 times per week is an intensive swim as well .well done you and keeping swimming ;)

IN Dulwich is 25 metres pool ,In Camberwell Green is 25 metres pool plus leisure pool ....small is 12 metres lol ...Agree in Dulwich is madness but if you swim for fitness only ....and not swim for everyone is different :) I prefer the Brockwell Lido tho ..I have a membership there as well ;) It s not fair , It all depend how much do you swim per week!! :D

Really ?!?!!? wow have to ask at the reception .It 2 years I m a member and last time (2 months ago ) they said it does not exist a swim only membership !! I ll go to swim in Camberwell Green on wed night and will ask . Finger crossed !!! I do sometimes aquafit in Dulwich ....I found better to pay in one go .350 per year ....but still lot s expensive !!!!! Thank you all :)

I am a swimmer and I do swim /training 5 times per week .when is SWIM FOR FITNESS only . Is 30 years I do swim and also I do events ... Camberwell Green Leisure centre has 2 pools !! I dont travel till Elephant and Castle if I m working in Dulwich and living in Forest hill .....With Fusion was swim only membership 29 per month now 31 per month ...Better does it as well ...Only Everyone active has stopped for this year ....because of the free swim for resident ONLY . My Swimmers 'friends are not happy as well because we do training after work and lunch ( I swam for 2 years in Dulwich at lunch now it s impossible to slow swimmers in fast lane ....very annoying !! I don t do gym so why I have to pay more?!?!?! My point is : swimmers like me swim 5 times per week and like myself I do 12 k per week ...I do more enjoy the Brockwell lido now finally the opening hours are longer than before .and you pay only 198 pounds for a year!!!! Everyoneactive has to change !!!!!

Hello My dear East Dulwich friends !!! I would like to ask to you all if you really want the swimming membership back in Everyone Active Leisure Centre . I m a swimmers and after years of swimming only ( not a gym person ) Needs to pay full membership even if I m doing only swimming ....This i think is not right at all !! I would like to " complain " or a petition who we can sign and send to Southwark Council . I would love any advice ,tips , idea how can we have back the swim membership only ?!?!?! I m not impressed . I have been to the emergency in Lewisham and the 3 times I waited for 3 hours .....while I was waiting an old man waiting like me pass out . Is not only in the UK , in my country is the same .Unlucky I have spend lots of time in Hospital, had surgeries and accident (I m an very active person , less now tho), and always had the problem to wait for so long ......the problem is the same , not enough staff working , staff under paid , staff tired and sick .... I don t have any idea what we can do for get a better service ....maybe everyone should pay the tax and NIN ?!?!?!?

I have a friend of mine and he is looking for an Italian tuition . He has done an Italian class but he would like to try something different . does anyone know someone who can teach and give support for learning Italian? Thanks lots ! Sabrina
