  1. Hi all, I have to say the state of ivydale playground for the main school is fairly shocking? Is anyone else surprised? Not quite the first start I had hoped for but I don't want to be too critical wonder if anyone knows when it's all going to be completed by.
  2. I think we need a tribute in a pub!! Any one else!????? I can sing x
  3. Have left at cafe. Found at 14.08 April 2nd hope this helps someone
  4. I was expecting to find a load in the what's on section but there's nothing ! X
  5. Our escape artist rabbit has managed to break free of her run in the garden today we live on athenlay road and dearly hope someone has her in their garden she will come to your hand if broccoli proferred to her number is 078999 24790
  6. Thanks to all the replies Athenlay is on a hill. I personally am a driver who slows down for the speedbumps on ivy dale and for the filtering system and the traffic speed sign on cheltenham. I think Renata's reply has been very helpful so let's see what happens now she's raised it to see if any plans in place.
  7. Hello good people, I lost my keys on a bike ride yesterday which begain in Dulwich Park near fair ground, went through wood vale, then Brenchley Gardens then ended at the ivy house pub which is where I realised I'd lost my keys. There are quite a few of them on the fob there's a mini car key, house keys, bike lock keys obviously I'd be over the moon to have them returned. x
  8. Thanks James that's really really helpful x
  9. Dear Gavin, Thank you I have emailed Renata and I'll email you the details now. Lucy
  10. Thanks so much for coming back to me. I think I'll do a door knocking petition signing one day and evening this week so I can at least start gathering opinion and support. I've started shouting at cars to slow down but the speed some of them go at is just shocking. We have 2x children under 4 and they are not road aware they are quick as lightning but even as a person myself who knows HOW to cross a road :O)it's crazy x I'm sure I'm going to get a load of anti speed bump comments which I do have sympathy for but whatever works for safety is what I'm most concerned about and all the other roads have measures.
  11. Hi all, We are just one of the many many families who live on Athenlay Road SE15 and daily witness speeding drivers using the road as a through way to Brenchley Gardens or Merrtins Rd rather than have to face the traffic calming system on Ivydale or the speed camera on Brenchley Gardens. The speed at which certain drivers take the top of Athnelay is frankly terrifying and I believe it's just a matter of time before someone or multiple persons get injured. I wondered if anyone on the forum could help me in my quest to get something done about it having recently seen two near misses I feel very galvanised and will do whatever is needed to protect the families and people that live on that road. I wonder if a local councillor could help or if anyone can advise me on best way to go about this. Happy to organise and do whatevers necessary if other residents agree. It strikes me as very strange that all the neighbouring roads have either bumps, or right of way slowing down requirements or a 20 mph speed camera AND zebra crossings and yet we have nothing and irresponsible drivers are taking daily advantage of it to burn through the street. Lucy
  12. Hi there, I run a new dance/disco session at 1030 am on Friday mornings at Mission Bubble Studios, which is just off lordship lane by William Rose the Butchers/Push Studio's buildings. The actual address is Unit 8, Blackwater Court 17-19 Blackwater Street, SE22 8SD It's for toddlers up to four and is designed to be active with dancing singing to get energy out but is mainly free style dance with some moves encouraged. Do come along this Friday if you'd like to check it out it's ?5 per family/adult attending. I suppose it depends on the four year old but we have a disco ball and lights and a really fun 45 minute set of music. For further into pls email [email protected] Just out of interest what's the ideal time you'd be looking for an activity after dropping your eldest off?
  13. I'm not quite sure whether this is a ridiculous idea or not but on the off chance you're going away and have a cat that needs looking after until Thursday this week I will happily house it and take care of it for you as we have unwanted pest at night nosing around and I know a cats scent will help convince it we are not the right home for it. On the off chance you are happy to loan out your moggie and I'd make sure it had clean litter and didn't run off outside etc pls PM me back. I should add my family has owned cats, dogs and horses all my life so I'm reliable sadly. I'd prefer to bring in a horse just to scare the crap out of the rodent but it definitely won't fit Lulu x
  14. We are taking 18 month old to Isle Of Wight this weekend in a VW campervan and have some VIP hosp passes so I'm hoping it won't be horrendous. Not really bothered about the line up. I will report back and let you know. One thing I haven't sorted is a sling / carrier for him!!! Any offers MUCH appreciated x will be leaving the buggy at home
  15. Thanks very much, sterling advice and tips really appreciated! X
