  1. Thank you for your suggesions! I've been told that Pilates is brilliant for building up pelvic and core muscles to prevent further pelvic problems. My physio said that Yoga can make pregnant women too flexible which is not good either?
  2. Hi, I'm in early pregnancy, only 11 weeks so far but am already suffering with PGP. My physiotherapist has given me loads of exercises to do but also suggested pregnancy Pilates. They do it at the physio but it's so expensive (?30/session) so I am looking in to finding something a bit more affordable and local. Any suggestions?
  3. Ehm, Husker - I moved to this area as it was close to where I work. Is that so hard to understand? I think Nanny made a good point, and although I am not against kids in restaurant and cafes, I do think it's important to show consideration to both your kid and to the people around you - which most people do. What sometimes irritates me is parents who seem to just let their children get on with it. Babies are a bit different as they are too little to understand and to be understood, but toddlers and and older children clearly understand when they are being asked something. I for one remember my parents telling me that we had to go home if I didn't behave, and I think it worked because they were strict about it.
  4. Thank you all for the lovely response, it really does help to know that I am not alone. At the moment, it feels like everyone around me are having babies. Even people who don't want to get pregnant!
  5. Lovely to hear success stories, it gives me hope. I think paying a bit of money to speed things up is what we will do to, if still possible at King's. I just really hope that the GP will take me seriously and not send me home without a referral.
  6. Thank you lovelyrita! It's reassuring to read that it worked for you. I can imagine that there is a lot of worrying involved, specially for someone like me who worries a lot all the time anyway. Are all the tests done at King's or do you do anything at the GP? Also, I know that it all varies but how long did you wait for your referral?
  7. Hi EDF My husband and I have been trying for a baby for over a year now, without any success. Today I've made an appointment with my GP to get a referral to King's Assisted Conception Unit. Thought I'd ask for advice here on EDF if anyone has been through the procedure. I've heard that it can be a good idea to get the referral from the GP but then to get the ball rolling using private clinics. We would be willing to pay to speed things up a bit. What I'm trying to say is, I'm completely new to all this, and am looking for some advice, what to do, where to go - what to say to my GP when I see her. Right now it all feels a bit strange, and I am so scared of it never working out for us.
