  1. If MEATmission in Hoxton is anything to go by, I'll not be rushing in. Had a Dead Hippie in there which may well have contained just that for all the rancid taste it gave off. A truly horrific burger.

No, I didn't. Mrs TP - you can buy them here quite cheaply. Probably set you back about a quid a month if you get through 3 or 4 a week: http://www.caddylinersdirect.co.uk/shop/
  3. Yes, I saw that. It was quite well publicised. Not at all sure what's so sneaky about it - councils are having to make cuts.

  6. Alastair Campbell's aged a bit, hasn't he?
  7. KK: About 12.10pm Nigello: Normally I would - and have - but I was starkers at the time. I wouldn't inflict that on anyone. magnificentstan: Glad to hear you clean up - thanks - but many others don't. Just so we're clear, I love dogs and I'm not a curtain-twitcher. Just sick of the amount of turds on the pavements. You feed a dog, play with it, pay its vets bills, take it for walks... so PLEASE clean up after it, too. It takes 5 seconds, plus maybe another minute until you can put the mess in a bin. Not a big ask.
  8. I was in my bathroom on CPR and have just seen your dog crapping by the tree outside 236 Crystal Palace Road. You did too, as you bent down to check that your little white and black pooch had indeed done his/her business. You're wearing blue jeans and a black leather coat. You're a smoker. Kindly come back and remove your dog's turds. Thanks.
  9. Not sure we should start putting the boot in. They may well have had every intention of staying and putting down roots, but then the market went nuts, their investment doubled in the blink of an eye... and they decided to cash in. Who wouldn't be tempted?

  11. Are you guys all on holiday/having days off/retired/unemployed?
  12. Your alarm has been going hell for leather for the last 2 hours. No sign of any break-in.
  13. THM is extremely shut. Weeds growing in the front & everything.
  14. Maccy Ds sold off their stake in Pret at least five years ago...
  15. Grim. There's a gaff like that near TGE on CPR. Hold my breath every time I pass it.
  16. If I see him and his hound in the act, I'll follow him home and curl one out on his doorstep. Selfish idiot.

  19. Didn't bother with the food as the new decor stopped me dead and had me backtracking full pelt onto Barry Road. I have yet to see a more soulless, design-by-numbers refit in my entire boozing life.
  20. Sorry to hear that Kirsten1463. How did they gain entry? Hope you reported it etc
  21. Slightly off-topic but a few years ago I arranged to have my post redirected whilst abroad. In the year I was away, countless stuff was lost: mortgage statements, stuff from my bank, insurance info/renewal letters etc. I spoke to some useless robot, was told to write in ? which I did, twice actually as they claimed not to have received my first complaint - and then received a letter back about a month later saying that there was not a lot they could do about it. They sent this letter to the wrong address. I kid you not.
  22. Ditto James Barber and lane lover's comments. I removed the sign outside my gaff and dumped it in KFH's office.
  23. I like them - they're good to flick through and I've found a decent carpet cleaner and plasterer through their pages. Whether I'd pay for them is another matter. Probably not, though I would imagine their business models allow them to give them away anyway.
  24. Delivery of these seems to be quite sporadic on Crystal Palace Road. Haven't received December's issues yet, for example. Any other areas affected?
  25. Very good of you, James. Will also continue to do as fuzzyboots suggested - and which I hear is commonplace in many European countries - and sweep up the immediate area around me on CPR. Got my broom out yesterday and found it surprisingly invigorating...
