Warning...When Using Sainsbury's Car Park
Tigres Pride replied to FatherJack's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks for this David. Have saved a copy to my PC. You never know when/if it may come in handy. -
Rather than bites, could be a reaction to something in or on the leather. Try putting a cover over the sofa before sitting down and see if you are still getting the same reactions.

Tigres Pride replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Is this work still scheduled to start Friday 13th at 8pm? Transport for London do not seem to have anything on their website concerning the closure or any bus diversions. -

binmen actually putting bins back to where they were
Tigres Pride replied to Richy86's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Can I just point out that prior to the provision of "wheely bins" most of us in Southwark had our own bins. It was the council that decided to issue these new bins for their convenience of emptying once per week and at the same time decline to empty any other type of bin or plastic bag. At that time we all had the use of our front yard, however small it may have been and didn't have to put up with the eyesores of streets of wheely bins of assorted colours. And yes, as I have put No. stickers on my bins and pay to have them cleaned, I do expect to get the same ones back everytime and not to have to go down the street swapping with neighbours. This is after all a paid for service included in our rates and taxes not something provided out of the Council's goodness of heart. -
Sounds intriguing and worth a visit

Caught in yellow box outside Peckham bus station
Tigres Pride replied to barrybrush's topic in The Lounge
I wonder, has anyone caught in the Box Junction by Peckham Bus garage contested a TFL issued PCN on the grounds that it is an "Illegal Box Junction" and won their case? -
I think you will find it is all down to the luck of the draw when they split the year intake into classes. I was there with my grandson on the first day of year 7 intake in September and I can assure you that there was a very diverse mix of colour, shape and height! My Grandson was dwarfed on either side by both black and white boys and has made friends with a whole range of them. Having watched them all troop out at close of day, on many occasions since that first day, I would say that the overall mix is no better nor no worse than any other in the borough and as long as the boys get along with each other, enjoy the school, get a good standard of Education and do well in their studies, what is there to worry about?

Where to park at Kings for a blue badge holder?
Tigres Pride replied to Mustard's topic in The Lounge
I have been parking regularly at Kings with a blue badge for the last 2 years (sometimes daily). Both Lambeth and Southwark run the scheme where you can park in Pay for Stay Bays or joint Pay/Resident Bays for up to 3 hours. Having said that, I have parked in Resident only, on single and double yellow lines and in Loading only bays for longer than 3 hours at a time and as long as my Blue Badge is showing, I have never yet been ticketed and I have noted that many other Blue Badge users do exactly the same thing, due to the shortage of Disabled Parking Bays. Wardens just seem to turn a blind eye. I have even parked on double yellow lines in front of one warden and he just turned and walked away, so I wouldn't worry too much. Just avoid Staff Parking Bays as they can get very shirty with you. Just find a space if you can!!! -
Contact less card at train stations ?
Tigres Pride replied to Dulwich Born And Bred's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
According to TFL Contactless Rail, this doesn't start till 16th September 2014 for tube, tram, DLR & overground in London -
When Dr Sarma first moved into his Surgery in East Dulwich Hospital from Maxted Road it was on the understanding that he would eventually be moved into the "New Super Dooper Primary Care Unit to be built on the site of the knocked down half of East Dulwich Hospital". If indeed his surgery is closed down, who will be the new PCU be given to? That's if indeed they ever get round to building it. It's been over ten years now and they haven't yet broken ground on the site.
