Can someone please explain why Southwark Council are doubling the Annual Parking charges from 1/4/21 for non ULEZ compliant vehicles when TFL will not be extending the ULEZ zone until 25th October 2021? It won't affect me but I think it's very unfair to people with older cars who cannot afford to buy new ones due to existing finance problems made so much worse thanks to the Covid-19 virus. These next 6 months would hopefully give them some time to improve their chance of changing cars. It seems once again Southwark Council are jumping in to grab as much cash as it can from its residents.

I would suggest, that when lockdown is finally over everyone who was forced into buying either monthly, 6-monthly or Annual parking permits or daily permits, under the threat of fines being issued, email or write to Southwark council, not asking for, but demanding that permits be automatically extended by the length of lockdown and those that bought daily permits to be refunded in full. We were still being told in April that fines would be issued a short time after 30th March then they said they would give us 4 weeks but most people had already bought their permits by then We fired off so many messages to Southwark and got the same heartless responses every time. Buy a permit or be fined. Please don't get me wrong. I am already in a Parking Zone and have bought a Permit for many years so it doesn't affect me directly but I can see the hard-heartedness of the Council in not opening up all Zones from the start of lockdown. I have family and friends who have been laid off or furloughed who have struggled to find the money to pay for the permits when there are so many demands on their shrinking funds. Let's all stand up and show Southwark Council what we think of them and their actions or lack of them during this crisis.

Final word from CCG yesterday. Not only has Forest Hill Road Group Surgery refused to withdraw the letters 're removal from its register but further batches of letters will be going out soon and CCG have no powers to force it to change its mind. So if you have already received a letter, start looking for another Doctor now. -

Like Zak, I have contacted the CCG and was told that, prior to the calls received, they did not know these letters had gone out and that they were contacting FHRGP to find out what exactly is happening. To-date, my daughter's family, who live nearby, also outside the cachement area, have not received a letter. I have just had a call_back from CCG and they say they have asked FHRGP to withdraw the de-registrations for now until talks have taken place. They will let us know what their reaction is to the request. -

I too have received a letter & we are just waiting to see if my daughter & family also get their marching orders. Just out of curiousity, have any younger families, say adults under 50 or with young children, 'received these letters? -
It anyone listensd to the rest of the report this morning, staff were notified and the train stopped at the next station and was taken out of service. Passengers had the good sense to stay away from the doors until the train has stopped!!!

Barclays Bank Lordship Lane

So, can non-business and/or non-disabled customers still pay into their accounts or transfer money or pay bills? And what happens if your card is lost, stolen or damaged? - you can't draw cash till you receive a replacement? Surely some services have to be provided for the standard customer?
