It's a wonderful venue. It's a decaying vintage social club. Trapped in its 1970s decor - vinyl & Lino, nicotine stained polystyrene ceilings with a wondrous labyrinth of spaces. A spectacular bollards room - dark & beautifully nostalgic, and a very cheap bar with TV screen. Oh - and a garden! This is a brilliant place to hold a party. I went to the jazz gig there. Jazz is not my cup of tea - bit (more than) dull & an audience of half unconscious, & rather self conscious (& very young) trendies trying desperately to appear like jazz loving beatniks...... But the space is enchanting and a real gem!

Also - a girl approached me in a bit of a flap as I was putting my pin in the Barclays corner hole-in-the-wall and said "oh no - i left my money in the machine - quick let me just check!" She was ?spanish/itlaian - with a dog. I said I am terribly sorry but there was another person here before me - so I wouldnt have seen. A scam? possibly..? Just be aware of ANYONE approaching you at a hole-in-the-wall.....
