That may well be the case. Some people cycle like dickheads up the canal path too, which is very dangerous. But people are going so slowly over the crossing that it doesn't appear to me to be dangerous to pedestrians. Peckham as a whole needs a cycling audit. The bit between the library and the top of Peckham Rye Park is awful. Ill thought out cycle paths, crappy road-surfaces, demented costermongers. It's the least favourite bit of my journey to work.

I go across that junction around ten times a week for the last couple of years and I have never seen an accident between a pedestrian and cyclist. I've seen plenty on the cycle lane heading up Peckham Rye.

Pretty much every-time I use that lane in the evening a pedestrian walks in front of me. So I crawl up it. It's too indistinct, too narrow and the surface is dreadful. Peckham Rye is a nightmare to cycle down generally.

Thanks. That's good news. I'm an experienced and robust cyclist. But that surface is quite dangerous: lots of pot holes, undulations and tram tracks heading down the hill.

That's very good news. The road surface on that stretch is dreadful.

Southwark are taking too long to make a decision. This is meant to expedite presumably. I think we'd all like to see a decision.

This area is blighted by the one way system and its use as a rat run and cut through. It's in the interests of residents that Southwark keep examining options to make it better. At the moment it might work for drivers, but not for others. The one way around Lyndhurst Way, Holly Grove and Bellenden is particularly awful. And the array of junctions around Chadwick. The whole area needs a solution though. Some of the attacks on the Councillor above are ludicrous and pompous. I no longer live in the area, but from what I hear from residents she is well respected and liked.

I saw it coming and it was a very gentle hit. I stayed on my bike as he hit me at about 5mph! Knackered my front wheel, to the tune of a ?25 re-true. It shakes you up a bit though. Only the second time I've been hit in fifteen years of London cycling.
