Good post Penguin68 I'm probably more inclined towards the management of the graveyard as it stands than you. Had I run this campaign I would have pushed Southwark hard, but constructively, to find a good balance between further use of the Old Cemetery and preserving and enhancing what's there now (particular the wooded area). SSW's campaign has become entirely tactical and in the process has become unethical and disingenuous. It has worked to an extent though, as you note. I notice that Councillor Barber seems to have maintained his support for SSW. Southwark Greens. The Friends of DKH Wood too. And even dear old Al Murray seemed close to biting on the WW1 grave stuff.
