  1. And indeed here https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/dulwichhamlet/news/update-050320-statement-from-the-club-and-dhst-on-our-champion-hill-planning-application-2518507.html
  2. The plans for the stadium have been changed drastically to accomodate MOL restrictions. It's for the planners to decide whether this is sufficient.
  3. Or you could opt to support a proposal will help secure the future of a local football club that is a cornerstone of community life in East Dulwich and the surrounding area. Follow the link which will show you how: https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/dulwichhamlet/news/update-050320-statement-from-the-club-and-dhst-on-our-champion-hill-planning-application-2518507.html
  4. Dave sorted our blocked drains out a treat just. Very reasonable too.
  5. It's just gone out on Twitter.
  6. Southwark just announced they have paused plans to fell the trees. Looking at alternative solutions.

Don?t you think most ?DHFC supporters who want a new stadium? are local residents? I?m certainly in that camp
  8. Or save Dulwich Hamlet FC by replacing the old AstroTurf.
  9. Spoons don't allow dogs. So not proper pubs.
  10. I couldn't hear much up the hill towards the Horniman. But when I walked my dog on the park that evening, the noise up towards the adventure playground and Ivy House end of the park was deafening. Dissonant and cacophonous too - the result I think of the different music from different zones merging in the park. It sounded like an out of tune John Coltrane being accompanied by a Soviet Tank division. P1sser if you live nearby. Perhaps though the crowd has tramped down the undulations and uneven ground caused by the last one. In which case I'm all for it.
  11. Yeah, but Honey Dijon in the decks. All worthwhile.
  12. I got off my bike at the Rye Lane junction with Hanover Park this morning, where the initial works are, and pushed it fifty yards or so down the pavement. Police were there making sure cyclists dismounted. If they are going to progress with the works up Rye Lane in segments, then I'm hoping this will be tenable for the duration.
  13. Full repairs to the damaged ground have not been carried out. There's a lot of damage outside the fenced off area and no sign it's going to be fixed.

  15. Is that the three quick beeps, followed by a twenty second gap, and then repeat? If so, I can hear the damn thing off Wood Vale and it's driving me nuts.
  16. I thought this year's festivals were fine subject to the damage being righted. Brockwell Park though shows how these things can get out of hand and really compromise public access to and enjoyment of our parks.
  17. I was waiting at the lights on my bike on the OKR, next to the taped off area. While i was there (a minute or so) two people separately ducked under the tape and walked across the crime scene; despite the presence of a SOCO in white overalls doing the necessary. The two police on guard went ape and took their names; despite protests from both that they'd done nothing wrong.
  18. All that said, the fields are a bit of a mess, caused mainly by the trucks removing the arena as far as i can tell.
  19. To be fair though, the Gala festival on Brockwell Park in 2016 was by all accounts an utter disaster. So concerns weren't necessarily unfounded. The key is these festivals is they come and go in a few days, everyone has a good time and the park isn't damaged. That isn't always the case (see Brockwell this year and last).
  20. Hawkwind weren't playing this year
  21. It seemed very well organised, although I see there were lots of complaints about the no entry after 4:30pm policy. I walked my dog on the park late afternoon. Remarkable how the park insulated the noise. Couldn't hear a thing walking down FHR. But then loud as hell in the park. Crowd seemed very friendly. And I saw a young woman doing the fastest flos I've ever seen. Heady dayz
  22. Didn?t Jimmy Saville pioneer that technique in the 60s?
  23. Me, just. Averaging ten posts a month. And I've lived in East Dulwich for none of them; merely the se15 and se23 badlands.
  24. A mad day and wilder night. Still can't quite believe they've gone up.
  25. Plenty of tickets on the gate. It will be rammed, but unlikely to sell out as the KNK is bugger than Champion Hill. There's a car park next to the ground, but that will fill up quickly.
