I'm sure you're just trying to get a rise out of me spadeboy, but anyway... I'll explain... I rang the bank as I figured they would have access to his phone number, I thought they would call him and let him know someone was trying to return his wallet, they asked me to provide all the details of the cards, which I did. I thought they were just making sure they had the right person, but then at the end, they said "right, we've cancelled those cards now..." I was really annoyed and said that I didn't want the cards to be cancelled, I just wanted them to tell him to contact ........ (his employer) that his employer has my phone number. The people at the bank said that it is standard procedure blah blah blah and refused to get in touch with him to let him know. I will say that in the wallet there was the means to access his bank as he had his number and code in there, and his birth date was on his drivers license. I thought he'd have got in touch before I handed it into the station, but no such luck. Glad it's out of my hands now...
