A review for fab plumber Niko. I've had continuous problems with my plumbing and Niko always comes round quickly to help. He answers texts promptly and keeps you informed if he's going to be late. He really cares about fixing the problem which seems to be unusual for a tradesman! I can highly recommend him as can my neighbour who told me about him initially. Hussein and his team came round and painted my flat including ceilings & repairing damage caused by damp. They also did some outside painting and the whole of the shared hallway. They were super fast and very trustworthy - I gave them my keys and went away for the week!! He kept me updated on the progress and suggested a colour for the front door which I very much appreciated. There were a few slight issues which I asked him to come back and fix - he was extremely amenable to doing so, and came round and cheerfully sorted out the problems. I wasn't going to report it but after the comments, I did call 101 and they've logged it and are sending a police officer round on Tuesday. That seems a little superfluous when nothing actually got stolen but that's their protocol. I guess we just have to be careful about having our phones out and be aware of who's around.

Hi all, I was on the committee of the East Dulwich WI helping with membership. The list has been closed for some time as there were about 100 ladies on it. There are still around 80 on it and the current committee has been talking about setting up a second WI for some time but needs other people to run it. At about 10pm last night, right by bus stop H East Dulwich Road / Gooose Green stop, some guys on a motorbike mounted the pavement, came by on the inside of me and attempted to snatch my phone from my hand. Luckily they missed and drove off without any further attempt. But be careful and don't walk along texting like I was! And be very careful if you're walking along on the phone to someone. It all happened in seconds and was not a pleasant experience.
