I'm wondering if anyone else is having difficulty booking into the fusion cr?che? My 6 month old has just started going and I want to keep it up so that I can lose the baby weight and he gets used to others looking after him. The problem is I can never get a slot that works with his feeds and my toddlers nursery run. I spoke to the ladies in the cr?che and they said they would love to do more hours and suggested I spoke to the manager. I did this morning and they have passed on the cr?che manager and general manager's email address. Am I just a bit unlucky (I called at 9 this morning and couldn't get a morning slot for next Monday or Tuesday) or are others also unable to take advantage of such a great facility? If so then perhaps if we show them there Is demand then they will increase the hours or the staff?

That someone has lost his job is sad however, we are talking speeds of 36 mph not something marginally over 20mph. This would be unacceptable if the limit was 30 let alone 20. Buses are one issue- I guess I personally expect them to keep to (or close to) the limit as they are a public service- but there is a broader issue of speeding generally on Barry Road and again- we are talking speeds well in excess of the new and old limits.
-
Barry road is allegedly a mile long which means it takes 3 minutes to drive it at 20mph or 2 minutes at 30mph. I agree it feels really slow at 20 but in fact it probably doesn't make a lot of difference if you consider having to stop at traffic lights etc. the fatality rate at 20mph is 2.5% compared to 20% at 30mph (according to RoSPA) so whilst it is possibly a bit slower- for me it is worth it in residential areas.

(ED Picturehouse now open)when is the cinema on LL opening?
Chirpie replied to Ole's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It's annoying that they don't just have an all inclusive price. 13.50 a ticket rather than 12 + 1.50. The cynic in me says it's merely them putting the 1.50 through the books as a vat exempt service. Thus not paying VAT on about 10% of their online revenues. On topic the cinema does look great and I can't wait to go. -
Where to go when you move out for building works?
Chirpie replied to Chirpie's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thanks everyone. The build has already taken a year and we have been luckily enough to not have to live in it so really really hoping there are no more delays! -
And why sign off your comments with "regards, chris" *** hi and thanks to all those that have been in contact ,i have now replied to all your requests and hope to see you all soon, regards chris ** I'm failing to see why you would sign off with a false name, as you've just said your name isn't Chris. Its your Pony..

Clearly... PPS uses the name Chris. He's also going by the name Steve in relation to decorating and recommended by lordshiplanegirl (banned for false recommendations) http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1415090,1416443#msg-1416443 Because Chris/Steve/Pony/PPS also has the same phone number when he sells his bike.. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?9,1392891,1392891#msg-1392891 To be honest, i'd go mad if I had to use three names when people called me on my mobile.

Evans above, another cycle store
Chirpie replied to villager1d's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
From the look of the store, and size it should be turning over circa 1.3m or so. That would equate to ?260k wage roll bill at 20% of sales, which is about 10 members of staff + on costs... That's not a bad input into the area, people who will spend in the area, go for lunch, go for a drink after work. Evans also only had 6 stores in 2000, its only in the '000s that they have expanded so quick. -

Scala Personal Training at Everyone Active (was Fusion), East Dulwich.
Chirpie replied to Giulio Scala's topic in Reviews
Just wanted to add a recommendation for Giulio. I started training with him when I was 10 weeks pregnant in a bid to safely keep fit and avoid too much weight gain. I trained with him until 37 weeks pregnant- I have since had the baby and was back to my pre-pregnancy weight within 3 weeks. I am sure the training really helped and it certainly helped me mentally particularly in the later weeks. I would definitely recommend training with Giulio to anyone who is pregnant or trying to get back into shape after a baby. -
Head to our shop in Soho, the Rapha Cycle Club... It will be an amazing day if last year was anything to go by! Failing that I'm not sure, the EDT may be your best bet as they have multiple screens and Eurosport is free to air... You can but ask!!

Hi Zedd, I recently applied for a dropped kerb and found it impossible to find info on the website. I called around the houses and eventually ended up with Chris Johnson as Drxyster suggested though I have a different address: LBS Highways, Asset Management Business Unit, Copeland Road Depot, Blackpool Road, Peckham, SE153SN ahve to send a letter with a photo or drawing of your house showinbg where you want the kerb to be dropped and including your contact phone number. I havent actually heard back yet but only posted the letter on Sunday so am waiting with finger crossed. Unfortunately I did not note down his phone number when I spoke to him. Hope this helps!

Loss of parking space outside 70 Barry Road
Chirpie replied to DogLover's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I believe they went through the planning process? So complaints can only be made if they broke the planning decision. There had been a rejection to widen and then they merely got two dropped kerbs. There were neighbour complaints on the application but it was passed. EDIT:- Application added 12/AP/2685
