Tessa Jowell Health Centre - when will it open?
1921 replied to 1921's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I was only asking, and not even for myself. For my elderly neighbour who is waiting to join a dr's surgery closer to their house and has been waiting for spring to arrive. No need for your sanctimonious, grammatically incorrect reply DDBOY -
Does anyone know when it will start registering new patients ?
-
I am happy to get you milk (and other bits) if you still need anything. Louisa

I personally do not like it but I fully understand why they have done it, the Green and Brown cafe chain in Crystal Palace have repeatedly been broken into. It is a shame the negative behaviour of others has an impact on us all.

Help me find a venue for a community course
1921 replied to GabyDuboisjoli's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
How many people do you think will be attending, ie how much space do you require? -
We went yesterday to get a fathers day gift. Very helpful, loved the fact he has his children working in there!! More than I could get my two to do!! We have to go for sugar free for the gift recipient, lots of choice and also noted what else would be good to stock. I even scoffed a chocolate banana and had huge childhood bliss (tastes just like medicine) memory. I wish them success, in a difficult climate on an expensive high street. It is not cheap, but it is not ludicrous either.

Applepears, I couldn't agree more, where are the doctors, who is filling the consulting rooms?? I spoke to Dr Ward before he left, I did not get the impression he is returning this time, but perhaps I misunderstood. I do hope you get some answers with your test and someone in the practice has taken over your case.

I liked it, it is not cheap, but it is supposed to be a treat not an everyday shopping spree! They have carefully laid out the shop, sugar free, nut free, clearly marked etc etc and are listening to customer requests and feedback. The staff are helpful and welcoming.

Hi James I have made a complaint to them, and spoke to the practice manager there today. They seem very disorganised and do not have clear protocols for phone calls/messages etc, she did not seem at all interested until I reminded her they have a duty of care to patients. She did sort it all out quickly then

Crossing survey- if anyone has a few moments
1921 replied to 1921's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Siduhe, Thanks for the info, shame it is so dar in the future. -
Goodness me, what is going on with this practice? It is a huge space with barely any doctors? How can this be allowed? It is impossible to get an appointment within a reasonable time, do they not have a duty of care to the community they are meant to be serving? Looking forward to the new medical centre opening on the Dulwich Hospital site.

Sue Do you know when? I looked on Southwark website but could not find anything? Thanks -
https://ohs-dulwich.co.uk/ Following the poor women being hit yesterday at the junction at the top of Lordship Lane by the Harvester, if you have a moment, could you look at the interactive map and agree/disagree etc. The junction is lethal, I do hope she is ok.

CPZ...the results are in.....brace yourselves....
1921 replied to Rockets's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi James Can you please find out if the whole day CPZ does not come into place and it is reduced to 2 hours as was the majority vote how the council plan to deal with the problem of people parking and then paying at a later time. I am aware of several people who park at Herne Hill and set phone alarm reminders to pay for the parking at noon. Thank you -
Dear Sue The "lazy" doctor seems irritated to have patients, I have seen her on several occasions for myself and with my children. On one occasion she didn't examine my son who had been vomiting for 24 hours and just said its a bug. We went back the next day and we were sent directly to A & E from the Dr's as he was really poorly. I raised a compliant. On a previous occasion she didn't complete a referral form for kings. I was sent for an urgent chest xray but the form was not signed or stamped. I was in agony so had not checked, when I got to Kings they could not see me without a signature but they would call the surgery and get her to email a form to them so I could be seen. The person at kings said she could hear the Dr in the background being difficult and refusing to send and email. The xray department sent me around to A & E and I started again, in hindsight I should have gone to A & E first!

15 year old daughter approached by a man in a white mercedes
1921 replied to Langdale's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Dear Langdale I am glad you have reported it to the school, the question earlier "was she on her lunch break?" is totally irrelevant, she should be able to go to a shop any time of the day without being approached by a "creep". Lots of teenagers are on study leave at the moment with mocks. -
Poop Poppy, please give a her a gentle hug and kiss from me. Such a awful thing to happen to any dog, but her recovery will be slower due to her being a little old lady. x

I think it has, they have this odd system of a doctor calling patients to do a phone consult before you can get an appointment on the same day, but it does mean that you do actually get seen if you need to. The phone lines are always busy but I suspect that is probably the same everywhere. Apart from one permanent doctor (whom I find very lazy), the others are all good and they seem to have good locums too

CPZ: Proposed Controlled Parking in East Dulwich
1921 replied to dulwichresident01's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I would be interested to see how the new (if it happens) CPZ would deal with intelligent commuters. I know several people that park in Herne Hill and have an alarm set on their phones to pay for the two hour parking when it kicks in. I really don't want CPZ but if it really does get the go ahead then making it impossible to do this using old fashioned ticket machines (people could still pay by card) would seem the only feasible option. -
There are still lots of posters on Lordship Lane, I will remove any I see when wandering about. So glad she was been found.

Missing tree in Whateley Road......I think
1921 replied to Alan Medic's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I would love trees on the pavements of Ashbourne Grove at the Melbourne Grove end. Sadly the huge trees are going to be cut down when the building works start at 54. It will seem very bare at the bottom end of the road without anything at all. RCH can you put in a request, how does it work? The wouldn't be able to be planted for a while as yet. -
Break in on Crystal Palace Road - Do you recognise this bloke

How awful, what a looser who should get a proper job. Glad you and your children were not at home.
