I was with Dulwich Medical Centre, which were useless and you couldn't get an appointment nor your test results. I am now with Tessa Jowell and they are ok BUT you have to use their online system which is frustrating. They do phone triage calls with a DR which you have to wait for a call back from and they only call twice and if you miss it, that's it, I complained as I was called and then called again around 5 mins later (was in the shower) and they said I had missed the opportunity. I suggested they change their protocols and if you don't answer the first time they leave 30 mins until calling again which I think they did listen too. Flu/covid jab booking all very simple via their text system. IMHO the entire country needs to review its GP systems as everyone having to use technology to get an appt when they are feeling unwell is just not fair.

DHFC / Green Dale latest planning application
1921 replied to jay66's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Walked around Greendales this afternoon and it was almost impossible to get past the hoards of people using it...... Given it is half term, and a beautifully sunny this afternoon, it was just me and the dog and we saw 2 other people? What time of day is it as busy as it is made out to be? -
There was a supporters match at DHFC stadium, weather appalling but an utterly brilliant evening, hence the cheers.

Thanks for the advice, I will see how I get on and try SELDOC or 111 if needed.

How can they all make things so difficult? You have to contact them in the morning and then be available at there whim to receive a call. Why can't you just make an appt at at specific time? Then everyone would be ready to answer as expecting a call around that time, I missed two calls that were made very close to each other and now they have closed the request for the day...and I have to start again on Monday. I shall just remain in pain post surgery but hey ho..... This is Tessa Jowell which I have just moved too from DMC, I was hoping for a caring, efficient service. A good look at how GP services are delivered needs to be done. I am going to contact local councillors when I feel up to it. Does anyone have a good easy to deal with Drs?

First of penguins sentence was my point. I have lived here for over 20 years and only since LTNs had problems with the traffic. And had never seen ambulance men running with their equipment to a house when it was quicker than trying to go around the LTN on Melbourne Grove. That used to just pull up outside.

At around 6.30 pm last night Dulwich village towards the cross roads at JAPS , backed up all the way to the hairdressers East Dulwich Grove towards LL - barely moving Lordship Lane towards Goose Green roundabout - at a standstill Had something happened? If anyone had required the emergency services they would have had a long delay and as for the fumes .....

Melbourne Grove Market Trial Online Survey
1921 replied to andrewc's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Would it not be better to have the new market on a Sunday ? -
I still feel the lack of access for emergency vehicles is dangerous. Going up LL takes longer and we can not pretend it doesn't. I am appalled at the council retracting their decision to open up the other half of Melbourne Grove (by the church) to emergency vehicles. I appreciate that everyone's opinions are their own, however before the LTN's nobody had purchased/rented houses in cul de sacs so their children could play safely on the streets.

Hi I am trying to arrange a group session (or 2) for a group of around 10 people. If anyone has any suggestions I would be most grateful.

Hi Has anyone on the 50-60 age bracket, without underlying medical conditions been contacted as yet? Several friends who are with Herne Hill Practice have already had theirs but we have heard nothing, I don't want to call as they are so busy, but equally they are not the best in terms of service, so don't want to be missed either. Thank you

Fun and social recommendations for a new resident!
1921 replied to Steven Taylor's topic in The Lounge
The family Sunday lunch is definitely The Lordship,it is also nice for a drink. Service can sometimes be a bit slow, but they are always nice and friendly. Welcome to ED -
As this barrier is to do with social distancing, then surely the situation has changed with todays announcement that the distance can be reduced and this is no longer justifiable.

Southwark request for comments re Covid-19 / healthier streets
1921 replied to AylwardS's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Please do not let the Melbourne Grove residents "re kindle" their wish to for a barrier. It seems to be exploiting an opportunity to me. -
