  1. I hope my IKEA days are well behind me.
  2. As a testament to how trendy Peckham has become, not a single mention for the Nag's Head!
  3. I carry neither. 90% of my retail transactions are Applepay. If the bill exceeds the ?30 contactless limit, I ask for it to be split and rung through as a multiple.

You are very lucky indeed. My experience of Virgin Media on Barry Road could not be further removed from yours. Dreadful from a technical and customer service point of view. We eventually threw in the towel and went with BT who are slower on paper and have a rehash freeview TV service but are for where we live infinitely more reliable. In 3 years we have't had a single outage. It just works.
  5. When you're watching the clock the West End can be a big place. Which theatre?
  6. I cycle daily to the City too. I avoid Rye Lane. I head down Crystal Palace Road, Ayds Road, Bellenden, Lyndhurst, Kelly Av, Chandler Way, Burgess Park, Portland Street, Falmouth Road (over New Kent Road) Harper Road, Great Suffolk and then Southwark Bridge Road and over the river. 25/30 mins to Cannon Street, and stopping at every red light!
  7. Club Orange
  8. Moving. Kate Bush
  9. About 10 years ago I had p*ss next to Gary Barlow in the gents at Terminal 5. I'm still dining out on that story!
  10. Maybe he was relaxing after a stressful day of doing the voice-over for a new episode of Bing on CBeebies!

That's one of the reasons I left

We had a similarly torrid experience with Virgin Media. We endured 18 months of broken promises and outrageous bills until about 2 years ago we switch to BT. Since then we've not had a single problem and not given broadband a second thought.

Nevertheless I'm surprised that local person such as yourself would find the type of driving on display on Barry Road to a surprise. This has been a problem for years.
  14. An example from one morning last week. This guy just appeared from nowhere. Excuse the expletives
  15. Hasn't the greenfly been dreadful this year?
  16. Shaun Borne!
  17. I was in Kew Gardens recently. If you think aircraft noise is bad in SE22, you've not heard anything!
  18. If you're new to the area do yourself a massive favour and AVOID Virgin Media. For years they've fleeced their customers in ED by promising the world and delivering dial-up. Hold out for BT.
  19. I went there with our 3 yr old on Saturday and was very impressed. He had a great time in the sand and on the swings. When the cafe re-opens it will be a fantastic facility.

I suspect the M&S aircon is not any old aricon though. It's M&S aircon!
  21. I park my Dacia on the street for weeks on end but nobody seems too bothered about it!
  22. I reported these to the council last year as they were obstructing the traffic lights. They quickly took ownership and contacted the land owner to have the issue taken care of.
  23. In addition to an alarm and other security features I use these cameras inside and out https://blinkforhome.co.uk/. They're wireless meaning they run from batteries, send alerts to your phone, allow for scheduling and includes free cloud storage. There are many products like this but for me I'm very happy with this inexpensive solution.
  24. Our new ward Councillors seem very quiet on this issue. This is one of the most pressing issues in the ward. Speak up!
