This happened to us (on Fellbrigg Road) about a month ago.. went outside and no-one there at all.. very confusing.. then a couple of weeks ago I heard it again at a neighbouring house.. looked out the window and saw some surprisingly young kids running off down the road... so I'm guessing it was them and nothing more sinister. (and it was very loud!)

Don't know who it was making that noise that night but it was ridiculously loud and went on for quite a while.. I heard at least one person on the street telling them to shut the **** up.. didn't sound like he was taking any notice mind you! I agree about having a word though.. maybe not on the night, but the next day when they've sobered up..

I managed to step on a slug with my bare foot the other night while taking the rubbish out.. not nice.. went right through my toes!

We're on Fellbrigg.. what end are you? we saw the tipped car.. amazingly when they tipped it back up it was actually ok!

Yeah - I agree, bring in an M&S or a Waitrose - there are too many people who live in the past on this forum..

I am aforementioned neighbour to SCSB79 and I did speak to the safer neighbourhood team and they did say that they would send a 'unit' round (sounds heavy) if we ever needed them to.. its just difficult to know whether its necessary or not.. as mamafeelgood says though, don't think of it as hassling the police but helping them... I just wish da yoof would hang around on their own doorsteps.. not ours.!
