  1. It may still be an independent MrBen, now under offer and price is 49.5K p.a. Not bad. Whatever opens there will do well.
  2. A few of us had dinner there a while back and it was good with a great vibe. No drink Vember time i think it was, how time flies...
  3. What did they take? This is still going on and is frustrating. The big black van will be eating the mint green van..
  4. Unusual for DJ not to come on here and give it some though.
  5. This is bad and shame on these scumbags, at least it wasn't a manhole cover though. (6)
  6. Blimey, there's me thinking she is a professional football player.:)) She deserves to defend herself on here though. isn't that right Sue?
  7. Katie, you must have been using a blackberry ;-). I'm in aswell for Vember, Friday night will be a good test, we'll stick close to Damian as he's a non drinker and doesnt mind hanging out in a pub ( with or without kids). And for the record Damian likes kids, mine and all our mates kids.
  8. Well if this helps, there is another new shop opening up by Moxons, opening in November, home furnishings.
  9. Would i vote for Libdems after this? No sir i would not. Especially not for Jimmy thedoorknocker Barber. Jimmy, if you come knocking at my door this evening you certainly won't be getting a treat. B) Tell the whole story as you should be doing so and not just what you want people to hear.
  10. This is definitely a lol thread, funny funny funny. Mrs k, me (without kids) and group of friends were in the Bish last night (and bumped into some of you guys beautifully dressed in halloween gear). The Bish serves good food Imo. It's a great place to take kids during the day for food cos it's spacious, has good service and if all babies decide to scream their heads off at the same time then the mild level of music during the day seems to drown out their noise. Recommended.(tu)
  11. When you lot get round to having kids you'll get used to screaming babies in different venues hee hee..
  12. Trying to buy the edf and stick it in my portofolio but he just wont sell it to me.:(
  13. Good on sliding doors. A friend who lives on Melbourne also has reversed her decision for the same reasons sliding doors has mentioned. James Barber is knocking on people's doors and not explaining the full impact cpz will have on the Grove Vale community. He is pushing this through and is the front man here. Interesting to read the online chats flying around about this. I hope he doesn't end up being sought after by the people as was Mr Gaddaffi. Bloody tyrants are a nuisance.>:D
  14. From the Dulwich Community Council meeting 15th September. 15. GROVE VALE FIRST AND SECOND STAGE PARKING CONSULTATION Mat Hill from Public Realm was present to give an overview of the first and second stage consultation that took place around Grove Vale. The officer explained that twenty two roads were consulted on the principle of a controlled parking zone in East Dulwich and South Camberwell wards. The consultation area concentrated on streets around Grove Vale, which were a short walking distance from East Dulwich railway station. The streets were last consulted in 2002 - 2003 as part of a Dulwich wide parking study. The boundary of Dulwich and Camberwell runs along the centre line of Grove Vale and 10 Dulwich Community Council - Thursday 15 September 2011 therefore agreement was sought from both community councils. All residents, businesses and stakeholders were included in the consultation. However, any decision to progress a CPZ would only apply on the public highway and not on housing estates or private parking areas. RESOLVED: That members note and approve the report outlining the consultation methods and boundaries for the Grove Vale first and second stage parking consultation. Members note that a further report would be presented at Dulwich community council meeting on 24 January 2012. After which it would be taken as a IDM (individual decision making) report in February 2012 and, if approved, statutory consultation should take place in March 2012.
  15. People, if you are for or against this then make your views known by going online and also emailing the councillors, don't just do it on here and don't forget to include your name and address otherwise your input may not count. The links have been posted on this thread by our good community friends. If you can go down to Grove Vale library on the open days then do so too. James Barber, as you have noticed most people on here are against the CPZ proposal. Hope that is sinking in, if this goes ahead i wonder how your reputation will look afterwards.
  16. The councilors are looking to have another achievement under their belt, that's what this is. "We did this, we did that, blah blah blah blah". But in this case it will be to bring down house prices a little further and finally close down the little independent shops in that stretch. Last time the consultation was flawed and did not go anywhere. This time round they have created a solution to a problem that does not exist. Majority of people on here are against it. Leave our lovely little East Dulwich alone and let our friends and family come visit the area. What say you James Barber?
  17. you know, on site.

    Virgin broadband

They are offering The Tivo box which will cost you ?50 plus free activation plus ?2 per month extra, giving you internet through the set top box also, if that helps.
  19. I should have put money on this that he would be done by October this year, it was clear that it would take a while. Skynews always gets there first and captures great footage even though it was not pretty. Especially what appears to be a bullet to the head.

    Buying a new PC

Still arguing and bitching on here, will never change.>:D< Otta, just check the vouchers are still valid, you should be able to get them extended. Just been given a load and they last about a year and a half. If your daughter is going to bash about on this, i would go for a cheaper option as in the pc, you can always replace the plug in keyboard. Cheaper to fix also. I use both mac and pc. The argument between people for mac vs pc will continue always.
  21. Sorry to hear this too. Nastiness has affected many people on here over the years including myself so i limit myself here. Plus have a family to look after as many of you do too and i can't be ar$ed to argue. Have made some good mates though.
  22. The obsolete satelite will be crashing to earth today NASA says. The odds on it falling on a person are pretty low considering the size of this and the size of the earth. Keep your eyes peeled if it hasn't already landed. hee hee.
  23. I bought a commercial property a few years ago with an advertising board by Maiden on the side of the building. It caused structural problems and was a friggin nightmare to get rid of because of the contract. If this goes ahead on The Bishop it will be temporary as Sjack says as it will be on the scaffolding. If the advertising banner is safe and protecting people from falling building materials then i have no objections to it. Long as it doesn't distract drivers. That spot is dangerous enough.:)-D
  24. Great news indeed, hotels around here are scattered around and some do seem pretty busy according to friends/relatives, that is a good location. Be great if Dulwich Estate allow it. (tu)
  25. Gary Barlow is great. They sure know how to get you hooked, the weird looking colourful people who cannot sing make great entertainmant i think.
