Hello, I know currently a lot of the private clinics will have closed their waiting lists, but has anyone had their child recently vaccinated for Meningitis? my daughter is 3.5 years old and the current news coverage has pushed me to have her vaccinated. Any recommendations of where I could try would be greatly appreciated! Do pharmacies have the ability to provide the injections by which a GP can inject?

That's why I want to see the schools that may be a possibility. I highly doubt we would even get Goodrich and heber. People living on Goodrich road near the lordship land side hardly get a space!

Hi Renata, I have your response printed out! I'm just anxious Incase we get offered something out of what we expect. It's good to get a feel for all the schools that are possible. I know a lot of parents get upset and disappointed but I don't want to be one of those parents I would rather be proactive and visit and see more than a few!

Hello! can someone kindly help me collate a list of the primary schools which are good in and around dulwich? I've done a Google search and have come up with 1. Goodrich 2. Heber 3. Fairlawn 4. Elliot Bank 5. Goose green 6. Horniman ( but their starting age is 5 years?) 7. Harris ED ( is this a manual application ?) 8. Ivydale I did not grow up in this area - and I only know of schools through reading or driving past them!!! I am trying to visit as many schools as I can because who knows what we will be allocated!

Number 2 and anxiety in 3yr old boy

Get him to tell you when he wants to go and put a nappy on him. then slowly start telling him its quite smelly and needs to go in the toilet to be flushed away! My DD refused to be toilet trained. She went to the toilet in her own time to wee. ( this is 4 months ago!) , and she struggled with the poo, but she had to overcome one fear ( doing a wee in the toilet) then move onto poo's! when she said she needed to do a poo I would put a nappy on her , and once she finished I would tell her while changing it smells and it should really go in the toilet to be flushed away. her dad some how made a story about how the poo needs to join its family... so erm there we go. Also, some children may find it a put down that their toilet smells- it depends on each child. My DD is paranoid about being clean so it worked for her. -
Whiskers could I see?

Thank you Cora and mariamdeit! I am apprehensive about moving her from her private nursery. She is happy and has a lot of friends there combined with the great care so I would rather not move.

Hello has anyone tried Linda's out for any beauty services? Just wanted to know if it's good as I'm usually wary of new beauty salons ( new for me!)

Hello, According to my southwark online account, after St Anthonys primary , Goodrich and Heber are the next two closest schools to my address. ( 0.47m and 0.49m respectively) So what are the odds if i were to apply for goodrich and heber that my child would get a place given that these are the closest to me?

Hi all, Can anyone kindly share how much their bathroom refit cost?? We've received so many different quotes and we are thinking what on earth! Our toilet is a seperate wc. So bathtub and sink in the other room portion. We just want a simple bathtub white With a shower cubicle within the tub ( if that makes sense) and white Tiling with A Heated towel rail.

There aren't enough parent bags for a start! And secondly it's not discrimination have you tried carrying a toddler or a baby in a car seat to and from the store ? The main reason for the parents bays are they are wider so parents can take out the car seats. That cannot be done in the normal car parking spaces!

My husband attended the college ( say about 16 years ago!) he absolutely loved it then. More recently family friends children attend The school and love it!

Hello all! We didn't go ahead with the purchase ( not from our side!) :( It's good to figure out where your child would potentially go. Renata thank you for your response to my husband too!! It's just such a worrying factor for every parent what school their child goes too the environment etc. I went to school which my cousins attended we lived in a close knit community so we all knew each other and the teachers before we even went to school! Now living on the other side of London I don't know many people here and so I get my concerned about which school my daughter will end up in!

BJM - your a star thank you for posting this! so its sort of pot luck I suppose?

Etta- thank you I am having a look at this now! Oimissus in terms of schools what is a black hole? I am trying SO hard to find a house that falls a 0.2 mile radius near Goodrich/heber but I am wondering if it makes any difference? this is why we started looking around therapia road, mundania road etc as the houses are slightly larger. St Francesca De Cabrini isn't a choice for us we aren't Christian! and I know non-Christian children go there and are very happy but its rather really confusing for a child when you have a different religion at home. ( Albeit I know you can opt out of doing the Religious parts of the day!)

Hello, What do parents do if you don't fall into a catchment area for a school ? We are looking to buy a property in therapia road / shelbury road but the only school seems to be st cabresca ( sorry for spelling error I am typing from my phone and cannot google the correct name!) we don't want our LO to go to a Religous school but we cannot afford to go private! Any advice parents?

Mother Goose. Every parent who's child is there will tell you how caring and loving all the staff are. An example if your child does not eat the cook will make something else and will not stop until your child eats something substantial. They keep you up to date all the time. All the staff members know what all the children are doing! Its great!

I have been reading a lot about Heber primary school. As we are looking to buy a house in Dulwich , I checked the Ofsted report for Heber ... it says it requires some improvement! Am I looking at the wrong Heber school??

Hello, I'm just planning ahead and so confused! My daughter goes to a private nursery right now. She will eligible for the 15 free hours starting September'15 ( she will be 3 years old in May 2015). My question is what do you after this ? Would she need to go to a school nursery ? When do the applications start ? I read on a website that it's your choice to send them at 4 years old or 5! I would obviously prefer her going from her private nursery into a school nursery / reception. I basically would like to know what happens next! Also the school nursery/reception what ever it is next would that be a full school day ?
