  1. Lived on St Francis Road since 2006. Chance of phone muggings, but my view is that could happen anywhere.
  2. Have been popping in for a lunch every few weeks since it opened, going again this week just gone. Really like the place, decent food at a good price. Service is really quick which is perfect for a lunch if you are working during the day.
  3. Whitechapel Mission
  4. Thoroughly recommend Vanessa and her sister?s masks from SE22Breathe https://instagram.com/se22breathe?igshid=1xnrufxl22euz She delivers locally, very reasonably priced. Friendly and responsive, you can drop an email or an instagram message to place the order, and payment can be via PayPal.
  5. I know that the centre is really in need of support at the moment, the pandemic is having a disproportionate impact on people, with an increased number in food poverty. I figure if I'm not eating out that is money I'd otherwise be spending so this seems like a very good cause. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunitycentre
  6. A drop in the ocean, but I've donated. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunitycentre
  7. Quite a stretch of road cordoned off
  8. Finally, phew, reassuring to know. Long may this common sense and pragmatism continue. Last week it was a virus factory.
  9. Anyone know a David Milliken in ED, with a relative called jacqueline in Canada? We have a birthday card in the post
  10. Just tragic, such sad news. These things seem to happen all too easily. RIP
  11. That would explain all the services on site.
  12. Currently shut both ways right by the station under the railway bridge. Not sure what has happened but ambulance, fire engine, police and trauma team on scene. Fingers crossed no one too seriously hurt.
  13. Yes a fire in one of the flats opposite the side of Payless, looked pretty bad
  14. Having been again last night, would highly recommend it. Decent football, at a very reasonable price, loyal crowd and no pre-madonnas. Gutted I can't be there on Saturday. A team with true grit having missed out in the last two seasons. Wishing them all the luck. Confident you can do it.
  15. Just wish I'd been on your train Alan, not the one I got turfed off of. From London Bridge still some problems as no sign of 1810, it went from on time to delayed. 1820 left on time though.
  16. We would have expected them to have run de-icing trains in the night, but from what the train driver said this morning, before we had to get off, clearly that was too much to ask, he said no de-icing trains had been running.
  17. One train stuck in station, one just outside in other direction, as power to rail lost as frozen. Case of wait for it to melt, or a network rail guy to come and sort. Just happened so driver had no eta of how long before up and running again. On up side buses seem to be running
  18. Sad that this Can happen. Thank goodness it wasn't fatal
  19. Looks like main road is closed both ways outside station
  20. Wondered if anyone knows what is going on at east dulwich station? Forensics, police, delayed trains as far as I can tell. Hope it's nothing awful
  21. Being less than 5 minutes away, I have high hopes for the cherry tree. Wishing you lots of luck. Hoping to become a regular!
  22. I live on St Francis Road, lived there for 5 years now, been more than happy during those 5 years and I still am. People do tend to keep themselves to themselves but are friendly enough if you need a neighbourly favour etc.
  23. Manchester is well worth a visit, always colder up north to make it feel even more like Christmas!
  24. Having been to the Hamlets a couple of times last season, this is great news. I'll be routing for them on Saturday
