Have been popping in for a lunch every few weeks since it opened, going again this week just gone. Really like the place, decent food at a good price. Service is really quick which is perfect for a lunch if you are working during the day.
Thoroughly recommend Vanessa and her sister?s masks from SE22Breathe https://instagram.com/se22breathe?igshid=1xnrufxl22euz She delivers locally, very reasonably priced. Friendly and responsive, you can drop an email or an instagram message to place the order, and payment can be via PayPal.
I know that the centre is really in need of support at the moment, the pandemic is having a disproportionate impact on people, with an increased number in food poverty. I figure if I'm not eating out that is money I'd otherwise be spending so this seems like a very good cause. www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunitycentre
Currently shut both ways right by the station under the railway bridge. Not sure what has happened but ambulance, fire engine, police and trauma team on scene. Fingers crossed no one too seriously hurt.
Having been again last night, would highly recommend it. Decent football, at a very reasonable price, loyal crowd and no pre-madonnas. Gutted I can't be there on Saturday. A team with true grit having missed out in the last two seasons. Wishing them all the luck. Confident you can do it.
Just wish I'd been on your train Alan, not the one I got turfed off of. From London Bridge still some problems as no sign of 1810, it went from on time to delayed. 1820 left on time though.
We would have expected them to have run de-icing trains in the night, but from what the train driver said this morning, before we had to get off, clearly that was too much to ask, he said no de-icing trains had been running.
One train stuck in station, one just outside in other direction, as power to rail lost as frozen. Case of wait for it to melt, or a network rail guy to come and sort. Just happened so driver had no eta of how long before up and running again. On up side buses seem to be running
I live on St Francis Road, lived there for 5 years now, been more than happy during those 5 years and I still am. People do tend to keep themselves to themselves but are friendly enough if you need a neighbourly favour etc.
