Tried to hand it in on Saturday, but the police station was closed despite being within opening hours. Will try again when I have an opportunity to do so. Thought a notice on the local forum would be worth a punt in the meantime. Hope that clears up all the confusion surrounding mylost ipod post, pk.

My missus found an ipod in the snow last Wednesday on Waveney Avenue leading up to Asquith's Day Nursery just off Peckham Rye. Anybody lost one around there and then, send me a private message with a phone number and I'll give you a shout to try to confirm ownership.

Parking ticket at the bottom of East Dulwich Road

The exact same thing happened to me in the same spot on East Dulwich Road. I appealed, it got turned down and I reluctantly coughed up. -
I also agree with bon3yard - Selected Ambient Works by Aphex Twin is indeed an absolute classic. In a similar vein, Burial's album Untrue is hauntingly infectious. If you are feeling a little bit frivolous however, you could try Dan Deacon - Wham City on Spiderman of the Rings is a mini masterpiece.

Only last week I saw a car getting pranged by a bus navigating the roundabout. Although in fairness, trying to get from Grove Vale onto Lordship Lane on the inside of a bus going the same direction is not the smartest move. A huge, mesmerising palm tree should help drivers focus on the task in hand. I do like the look of the tree, though.

The Fishcoteque on Waterloo Road.

There is chippy on the Albert Bridge Road in Belfast called 'For Cod and Ulster'. Was tempted to stop and get photographic evidence, but the group hanging around outside might not have appreciated being inadvertently captured on film.

I was off work on Monday with the same thing. Apparently Monday was National Sickie Day (most likely day of the year when people would skive off). It made me feel slightly better to be part of that statistic.

who is the most musically creative person in the industry

Sean - no, probably hard to defend much after 1980 (Hotter Than July), apart from 2005's A Time To Love which was pretty well received. But hey, who knows - maybe his arc is just beginning its belated upward curve? Even if it isn't, a high percentage of his output from the mid '60s up until 1980 should make him a serious contender for '(previously) most musically creative person (still working) in the industry'. -

I'm in the Prince posse, but surely Stevie Wonder has to get a mention? I also reckon Jack White will be veiwed favourably in 20 or 30 years time. -
In Nokia-speak, 'Smirnoff' = 'poisoned'.

Just replied to another post elsewhere on the forum re tickets for sold-out gigs and thought this site was worth a mention here. It is an ethical ticket selling site, where tickets are bought and sold for face value & fees. I have no connection to the site, but have used it successfully for both purchases and sales. It's not ED-specific, so I stuck it in the Lounge. Scarlet Mist

Please, if burning and destroying of the filling station is going to take place try to keep it relatively under control as I live very closeby.
