I was at cornflower terrace with virgin and it dropped ALL the time. Eventually got it cancelled without charge as the engineer came in to test the line and I was getting 2MB from my 37Mb I was paying for.

This post surely embodies the need for admin to develop a recommend button! steveo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I did many illegal bikey things as a yoot and back > then would have thought this was a fine act of > stick-it-to-the-man rebellion, and even joined > in. > > Now I am old I want them all strapped to a tree so > the dogs can piss on them > > On the upside it might keep the trick and treaters > confined to barracks next year

Hehe while I agree and that made me laugh...I don't think I've ever seen this in ED. Having only very recently had a baby I plan to meet other mates with kids in ED pubs as it's a good place for us to meet. The woodhouse for example is always packed with kids and I love the vibrancy. Maybe I'm getting too old for moody boozers that smell of 40 year old fag ash -

Oh god This thread is enough to drive me to drink. Don't like kids in pub....Don't go to family pubs! Next inane thread please! -
I would also speak to whoever you're thinking of buying them from. The fittings (i.e. GU 10 etc) can be quite different. Are you switching to LED for any specific reason? Energy saving or specific lighting design in a room? Andy

Local Bass player and Drummer needed for mid life garage band..
Andybol replied to danmaitland's topic in The Lounge
Hi Dan I'm a drummer and guitarist and have been playing for around 30 years (I'm 38). What sort of age are you looking at - not sure if this is too old or too young :P I've played in bands for years and I'm a huge fan of garage bands - think Deus, Pavement etc. Happy to do a few covers too. PM me if you're interested Andy -

I recently got married to my wonderful wife and a freined read this: Reading : A Lovely Love Story The fierce Dinosaur was trapped inside his cage of ice. Although it was cold he was happy in there. It was, after all, his cage. Then along came the Lovely Other Dinosaur. The Lovely Other Dinosaur melted the Dinosaur?s cage with kind words and loving thoughts. I like this Dinosaur thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. Although he is fierce he is also tender and he is funny. He is also quite clever though I will not tell him this for now. I like this Lovely Other Dinosaur, thought the Dinosaur. She is beautiful and she is different and she smells so nice. She is also a free spirit which is a quality I much admire in a dinosaur. But he can be so distant and so peculiar at times, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. He is also overly fond of things. Are all Dinosaurs so overly fond of things? But her mind skips from here to there so quickly thought the Dinosaur. She is also uncommonly keen on shopping. Are all Lovely Other Dinosaurs so uncommonly keen on shopping? I will forgive his peculiarity and his concern for things, thought the Lovely Other Dinosaur. For they are part of what makes him a richly charactered individual. I will forgive her skipping mind and her fondness for shopping, thought the Dinosaur. For she fills our life with beautiful thoughts and wonderful surprises. Besides, I am not unkeen on shopping either. Now the Dinosaur and the Lovely Other Dinosaur are old. Look at them. Together they stand on the hill telling each other stories and feeling the warmth of the sun on their backs. And that, my friends, is how it is with love. Let us all be Dinosaurs and Lovely Other Dinosaurs together. For the sun is warm. And the world is a beautiful place The whole crowd bawled their eye out !!!

So after being told by the waste collectors to bag up my garden waste in black bags and arrange a bulk waste collection Southwark council have refsed to collect it and will only collect it if I put it in bags I collect from the library. I'm not about to spend a couple of hours rebagging 6 black bags of stuff so does anyone know of a tip that accepts garden waste near here? Bloody rubbish council

Hmm seems to me this is a tough ask... Working class criminal Lawyer (in London?) Female lead! Could be really interesting to explore this though but it would be very tough to steer clear of the main cliches and stereotypes - Old boy network, glass ceiling, difficult love life in a fast paced city etc Difficult to write it without it turning into a much grittier version of Ally McBeal!

Hi there. There's a few cheapish things you can do. Stopgap is great and I would highly recommend it along with radiator reflectors, heavy curtains and draught excluder etc. Windows, back of radiator and poorly fitting doors are a major factor in heat loss.

inappropriate but lets forgive and forget!

This was a disgusting act, but you cannot ignore the sheer delight this thread has given me over the past two days. I am truly torn between reprimanding and praising whoever the perp was. Maybe, just maybe if we all once in a while dropped a cleveland steamer in an inappropriate place the world would be more able to laugh at itself - albeit while smelling a bit wiffy. Perhaps this was a peice of existentialist art which we can reflect on and ponder the pointlessness of fleeting wrath. -
Hi Sue We'd need something big enough to fill a small/medium sized theatre. I'm not 100% sure to be honest. it would need to be bigger than a standard pub PA setup. they'd also need 5 mics and a pretty nice mixing desk so I am assuming quite a smart righ would be required. They'd also need someone to operate it.

Dear fellow Forumites The singers soiree (http://www.thesingerssoiree.co.uk/future-events.php )are hosting a charity night on Thursday 12th September and have just been let down on the PA. Does anyone know anyone with a PA, mics and mixing desk that can help out? The charity they are supporting is Shooting Star Chase who help terminally ill children enjoy and be properly looked after in their final few years/months of life. If any of you can help or have any ideas can you pm me. Thanks Andy
