  1. I agree there are some very unfortunate comments on this thread. Some are aggressive; others are divisive and patronising. I wouldn't want to point out which are which. I'm sure readers can identify that and maybe the posters in question might, in future, take a deep breath and re-think their comments before pressing the post message button... It does seem interesting (to me anyway!) that the original poster created their account to start this thread and seems to know more about the DH plans than most... Again, make your own minds up readers...
  2. Good Lord. Politicians policing forums now... I live very close to the DH Stadium and have only heard noise once, during an evening varsity match between some of the London university teams. That was very loud but otherwise not a peep. I can't comment on the particular game that the first poster complained about as I wasn't there and didn't notice any noise that night at home, but a complaint about drumming when eye witnesses say there were no drums does seem to be baseless. I don't think this thread needs any more comment...
  3. I missed Saturday's game for a trip to Brighton and, while wearing my Hamlet scarf, got accosted in the street by another Dulwich fan - we're everywhere!!
  4. About to go to my first Hamlets game... Who is the star player I should look out for?
  5. I'm really upset to hear this. Well done KateFord and Bailey84 for reporting it and being so brave. It's shocking to hear about something like this happening in our area. I've flagged the man's description to my wife and hope we don't ever see him.
  6. Is anyone else suffering from atrocious BT broadband service in ED? Today has been terrible and generally we find that our router is working fine but the internet is slow despite having the Infinity package. My Sonos system has been unusable today and the net dreadfully slow and patchy. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else is experiencing BT broadband issues locally.
  7. I had terrible eczema all my life until I was about 20. I did everything and it kept getting worse. Steroid cream, bed gloves at night and swathes of aqueous and E45 cream. I looked like I had red gloves on and had tight skin that broke easily. It was horrible. I changed GP and the new GP suggested I use Diprobase cream instead of aqueous cream and use a stronger steroid cream (Eumovate) for a week. The results were amazing. Within 2 weeks I was back to normal. I couldn't believe it. It turned out I was allergic to Lanolin and so every time I used aqueous cream and E45 cream I was basically poisoning my skin. If you haven't tried Diprobase then definitely give it a go instead of normal aqueous/E45 cream. It was utterly life changing for me.
  8. East Dulwich Grove was logjammed with traffic last night and has been again since 7am and still is. Anyone know how long this is supposed to last?
  9. Difficult times but glad they didn't get in to steal anything
  10. Ha! Yes, I like M&S therefore I can't comprehend planning matters! Very good. You win. The application must fail! You've convinced me with your superior powers of reasoning.
  11. I would like to see an antique/curios/reclamation store. It's too small for a cinema but a little dynamic independent cinema somewhere in ED would be superb too!
  12. The Draft is a chain. A good one, but a chain.
  13. I am all for an ED M&S! Miles better than Iceland and it'll save me lugging M&S shopping back to ED on the train - embrace this!
  14. Please don't give money to beggers, give money to homeless charities instead. Giving to beggers only encourages them to beg more, makes the area look scruffy and (in my biased view) is more likely to be mis-spent. I used to live near Borough High Street and it always has druggy/boozy looking tramps and beggers on it which makes the place seem very unsafe - many of those in Borough are pissed out of their skulls and/or in and out of the bookies. If you want to help the homeless then please please please give to the homeless charities and maybe suggest to the ones you see that they should seek the help of charities.
