He would be well suited on here then! Louisa.

I appreciate your cynicism rendel, but just because it hasn't happened doesn't mean it's not possible. The antisocial smells and aromas coming from these products are such that it would be wise to be cautious. Why not do it at home? Louisa.

This is a revisit to a topic discussed some years back now. I remember having a staunchly held opinion about makeup application amongst other things on buses, and the health implications as well as the completely ignorant nature of forcing others to be a part of your very personal experience. At the time, members of this forum were absolutely convinced moisturisers and other medicated creams being applied in public were perfectly acceptable forms of behaviour, with little or no danger to others around them. It has now emerged in today's news that certain medicated creams contain paraffin and put individuals as well as those around them at risk of potential hazards, including the highly flammable nature of some products. I have included the news article below for your attention. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-39308748 The application of potentially dangerous flammable creams, and/or other products in public places (particularly public transport) should be just as anti social as eating food, talking loudly on mobile devices and making a nuisance of yourself. Think of others and don't be selfish. Just a reminder. Louisa.

It's a decent size, spread over a number of floors. Women's section is decent, a wide selection. Best to go in the morning it can get busy. Louisa.

Genuinely EA, I don't from my perspective of growing up locally and living around here for decades and decades, at any point in its history would it be on a par with (for example), Peckham or Brixton back in the day. The odd boozer had some dodgy crowds now and then, but if you go back before Sainsbury's moved into the area in 92/93 I think? Lordship Lane had plenty of independent bakeries, butchers and grocery shops which were used by the local populace without much in the way of crime. You certainly wouldn't have needed a minder walking along the lane in the 80's. I'm not digging you out here personally, but it does upset me when I hear people talk negatively about the place that has been such a massive part of my life for so long. The trouble with the 'G' word is, it wipes the slate clean for longstanding neighbourhoods and it's almost as if this place didn't exist before the populace changed. It's quite upsetting tbh. Louisa.

You'll usually find (forgive me here I'm trying to be delicate), that human waste is a slightly different shade of brown and is formed in different shape(s). Of course the most notable difference would be the smell. Louisa.

Parking charges from the council are usually banged to rights unless you have a genuine reason such as unclear signage. If I were you, take it on the chin as Seabag suggests, sooner rather than later. Louisa.

I saw a pile of what appeared to be human extrament left totally exposed close to the corner of Underhill/Barry this morning at about 7.30am. Shocking behaviour when a public lav is just a brisk walk away in the park. I've never been so caught short that I couldn't wait, and even if god forbid that did happen, I'd rather 'keep it retained', than expose myself in the altogether on such a public highway. Disgraceful. Louisa.

Foxy is a regular patron of Indian Restaurants locally, and his loyalty has gained him invaluable access to restaurant owners around the area, who respect his opinion. We should all be grateful he uses this forum as a means to provide behind the scenes information, we would otherwise be unaware of. Thankyou Foxy. Louisa. -

I wouldn't mind placing a bet on Hawksmoor going to the village. Plenty of empty properties awaiting a decent restaurant. They won't come to ED though. Louisa. -

This new restaurant doesn't appear to have a menu yet? And apparently Xoco is a Mexican chain I did some googling. Louisa. -

I am not "playing games", I am just replying to YOUR observation about me "trying too hard". I didn't ask for your observation, and yet you gave me it anyway. And then tried to turn it around on me by saying "I don't give a f*** what you think of my posts". Well guess what, the feeling is mutual. Louisa. -

Sue if I'm trying too hard you must be not trying hard enough. I've become disappointed with your recent contributions. You used to provide intelligent debate, nowadays you just like to wind Foxy up and wait for a predictable reaction. Shame really. Louisa. -

If I'm on a par with her then I'll give up now. I've never accused anyone of wiretapping foxy, and I say what I mean in a constructive way to help facilitate factual conclusions on often baffling forum topics. I am the voice of common sense in a world of expensive hot dogs and chain Indian restaurants. Louisa (Aka Kelly-Anne Conway) -

I didn't know Xoco was a chain? Maybe they're just doing a refurb then and be back with a different interior? Where are the others branches? Louisa. -

Well whoever is charging ?7.50, wherever they are, I wouldn't personally feel comfortable paying that myself even if it was the best hotdog I'd ever tried. I don't know the mark up on these items, but I know how much I would feel comfortable paying for a street food item I'll be eating on the move, and it's the lesser side of ?5. Louisa. -

What is ad nauseum about me commenting on the price of a hotdog? I can't remember the last time I spoke about hotdogs on this forum. It's your money, do what you want with it! Must be a totally amazing culinary experience based on those prices. Louisa. -

Hotdogs are processed meat that's been cured and boiled. End of discussion. You can use the freshest, tastiest most organic meat in the world served on gold plated sourdough subs, but guess what? It's still just a hotdog. ?7.50 for standing on the roadside eating a hotdog. Louisa. -

What about the wild meadow flower section at the Adys Road side of Goose Green? This is left to grow naturally with wild flowers from all seasons? No scheme, just randomly arranged. Louisa. -
Knew this sort of thread was inevitable on here. Was always baffled as to why so many people wanted to come here? I presume it was proximity to Clapham in terms of affordablity 10/15 years ago that sparked it all off. Transport links have always been shocking, if it were not for inflated property prices on the SW London tube network, I really can't imagine ED ever having picked up. Brockley/Honor Oak Park and Forest Hill all better housing stock, better connections and still quite a bit cheaper than here. Louisa.

Don't let that stop you from being a good citizen though. If you don't say something, who will? The number of arguments I've had when I've confronted crude behaviour is too many to remember. Flowers can't speak for themselves, as responsible and reasoned individuals it is our public duty to prevent unsociable actions which are to the detriment of the community. Louisa.
