recent media coverage on the West Island aka Australia is that Sydney and Melbourne are now both in the top 5 of cities most expensive to live in, worldwide. Even more expensive than London - http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/feb/04/sydney-melbourne-expensive-cities
You guys are aware of Ngati Ranana, the NZ Society, Kiwis in London, etc aren't you? Great groups and Ngati Ranana has a lovely Maori/Pakeha (well anyone really) wee group fr kids to learn about NZ culture.
We are moving back home to NZ after 6 years away. Been back regularly & active in NZ community in Lomdon. PM me & I'm hap to arrange a time to chat. Can also put you in touch with some NZ copper if you want first hand accounts. Drugs & 'gangs' in prisons is no different than here - nothing like the US & pretty much all related to methamphetamine these days.
Under the new regulations you simply won't be able to. http://www.royalmail.com/sites/default/files/International-prohibitions-and-restrictions-leaflet-consumers_0.pdf
It's started..... the iceberg begins to reveal itself. Now they find pork in Waitrose beef meatballs. http://www.itv.com/news/story/2013-02-07/findus-horse-meat-lasagne/ Why is it so hard to know what is in the food we eat?
I just wish the 3-4 foxes who keep coming into our garden and tearing apart their food - count so far some birds, 1 small cat & a chicken - would be fed by some of you who seem so keen to care for them. I'm the one left clearing up the bodies bits in the aftermath. They are getting worse & more aggressive. I had 2 bare their teeth & snarl at me around 10pm last week on Crystal Palace Rd. Brolly in hand I was ready but thankfully my yelling sent them running. When I got closer they had left behind their catch & had obviously been defending it. Anyone missing a guinea pig?
If you want to send perfume overseas now you need to use an online site and have it delivered locally. Haven't used it but a friend recommended it for US - http://www.perfumebee.com/ One for Australia - http://www.myperfume.com.au/
Nope I don't eat Tesco burgers or Findus lasagne. BUT this will not be limited to them I reckon. It's all about knowing the farm to fork journey and getting what is says on the label. The pressure the supermarkets are placing on the suppliers will mean that shortcuts will have be taken everywhere. I reckon this is jus the tip of a much bigger iceberg
See there is building activity in both the vacant shop next to Cafe Nero and where Sally's was. Anyone know what's going into them? Any ideas on what's happening to the Green & Blue premises or the printing/copying place next to Kaval newsagents? We seem to have quite a few places vacant on the Lane at present.
If there was ever a time to support our local independent shops and the Saturday market it's now. Don't mind eating horse meat, have had it in France, but when I buy supposedly quality beef that's what I expect to get.
You should all tr The Dish and the Spoon 65 Cheltenham Rd. Brilliant cafe aimed at families with kids as Shona the owner designed it that way. https://en-gb.facebook.com/TheDishandtheSpoon?sk=info&filter=12
