Zip cars leaving vehicles in our road
MissWiggy replied to PandG's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There's been one outside our house for 3 weeks and hasn't moved in that time. Apparently the tracker has drained the battery which means it doesn't show as being an available car, can't be hired and won't move. Seems a bit counterproductive. -
Lordship Lane accident (now open)
MissWiggy replied to EDmummy's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
There's been a large number of police cars going down LL too and they've moved the cordon. I've just overheard someone say there has also been a stabbing. I hope that's not the case. -
Yes it's very odd. No ot definitely hadn't been put there by another animal. It was one of those individual trays of food and save that the lid had been peeled off, the top was untouched. I'm sure it's all innocent but I would ask that people don't leave out food for other people's pets (someone has very kindly contacted me saying she knows someone who does this and she has also asked them to stop).

Ive just gone outside to put the rubbish out and seen an open tray of cat food left on our pathway. Perhaps I'm being over cautious but give the recent spate of cat incidents in the area I thought this was odd and has definitely put me on my guard. We do have 2 cats and so I feel that whoever has done this seems to be making a point that they know that we have cats. I'm just baffled as to why they would have left food out. This has happened in the last 45 minutes or so as when I went out earlier this evening it wasn't there. Hopefully there is nothing to worry about but just thought I would make others aware.

(ED Picturehouse now open)when is the cinema on LL opening?

KickKruger - I've just had a look on the Flixster app and the listings are on there for the BH weekend. -

I think this is the situation: This weekend there is a "soft opening" for founder members. From next weekend anyone and everyone can go to the cinema. If you are an ED "founder member" or a member of any other PH you get a discount on drinks, food and tickets. After this weekend there is no restriction at all re who can go to or use the cinema / bar etc. -

I thought that the Picture House did tell members of other PH cinemas that they could transfer their membership to ED if they wanted to. -

Lovely photos yeknomyeknom. I think it will be a huge success - the place was buzzing last night and it was only open to members. -

We went yesterday too and thought they'd done a great job. 3 screens seating about 100, 80 and 50 each with comfy seats and lots of leg room. The bar was lovely with a nice seating area including some "snugs" and sofas. There was a good selection of wine and craft beer too which was a nice surprise! Well done to all who pushed for this, and to the EDP for doing such a great job. -

The text messages admitting liability absolutely do count. If this ends up going to court (which is what happens if insurance companies can't agree blame and damages / compensation) the judge will be very interested to see texts from the others river admitting it's his fault so they should definitely pay some attention to them now as they are an excellent indicator of where the other driver thought the fault lay at the time of the accident. Good luck! -
Yes that is what I meant. Try giving the tech people a call and asking them to reset it for you - maybe that will make a difference?! To be fair I find Virgin ok when it's working, but the lack of service and information when it's not drives me mad.
-
Sorry if this is stating the obvious but have you tried rebooting your router? I find that where there's been a long outage I need to do this and it gets it going again.
-
I've just received a text saying the fault has been fixed. Can anyone verify this?

Gem1 - that's near me too. I've just been told that the "complete lack of broadband and tv" will be rectified by 0030 hours tonight. There will then be intermittent service until Monday when the service will return to normal (whatever that means...). The person I spoke to couldn't even give me any information re compensation.
-
I'm certain they don't monitor the EDF. I didn't post on here in the hope I would be able to embarrass them into doing something, but in an effort to share information given the trouble I have had getting anything out of them.
-
Yes that's what they told me too. No broadband since yesterday morning and now no TV either. Pretty poor service to say the least.

Anyone else having issues with lack of Broadband and tv? I'm in SE22.
