I'm sure anyone posting on this forum is aware of, and able to use, Google search. However posting on the forum comes with the added benefit of letting everyone know what you're doing! #altruism?

I could do that, or as I think some others do which is have the shirts ironed locally. Just dropping off and picking up 5 shirts each week... but if there's a way of bringing in a shirt daily I'd go with that. The cycling part is great it's just the faff that puts me off

Thanks Wulf I'll look into the Ortliebs. I did used to use a pannier, maybe it was my shirt folding technique but they always seemed to collapse in the bag and come out wrinkled!

What do people do about work shirts etc? Iron at home and bring them in folded somehow? Daily? Weekly? Have them done somewhere near the office, keeping them hung-up at work? Love the cycling but always found messing around with shirts 'n' suits to be a pain in the a!

Amongst all the stories and "beliefs" on this thread, to my mind the least scientific statement made was to give 100% assurance that something doesn't exist. A healthy state of agnosticism is probably best

Not to dismiss the possibility; but surely attending a spiritualist church for a few years shows some kind of pre-disposition towards 'other worldly' activity which might explain the recent "unexplained activity"? Sorry to pi55 on the bonfire.

I heard what must've been the same noises that night, same time. I'm near the Great Exhibition pub. Also familiar with the usual fox wailing but this stood out as being different. Didn't hear any of the thumping sound though, maybe too far away.

Same for me. The outages do seem to be timed to perfection though... it meant I left a transaction uncommitted for about 2 hours (any DBAs out there can appreciate the pain!)

It's back up, at least for now... I called Virgin about 30 mins ago and got the same 2.30am estimate, but looks ok at the moment
